Two goal trends are emerging in this World Cup: -Headers -Goals from long range (outside the penalty area)

Only Messi can get away from such a violent tackle , without even a yellow card!

Mbappe doesn’t get the call to go his way. Of course, if this was that other player, he would have had his first PK (as expected) from the first game. Hint: his name rhymes with Pessi….

Every game today ended in a tie. And unfortunately, we had our first scoreless game (thanks Cape Verde!) #WorldCup

Is it just me or there are many goals from long range (outside of the penalty area) this World Cup? Is it the ball design maybe like 2010?

The World Cup seems so long in that we have already have seen so many matches, yet some of the big teams are yet to play like Spain (just started), Argentina, France, England and Portugal. And that is just round 1!

Fans at UFC 250 acted with class. They proudly sang O Canada for Aiemann Zahabi. Meanwhile, the “Elbows Up” crowd at the FIFA World Cup game in Toronto booed the U.S. anthem. One side acted petty. The other showed respect. That says a lot. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Jordan Staal just won his second Stanley Cup, with his first being all the way back in 2009 with the Penguins. 17 years apart! God, that must be a record in how long he had to wait ? Anyone know? #Hurricanes @SNstats

There you go. The United States is built on a limitless ethos of entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence. Canada is built on feminized and "empathetic" parasitic taxation fuelled by envy and resentment toward those who produce.
JUST IN🚨: SpaceX is now worth more than Canada.

I wonder why @elonmusk, who is Canadian, decided not to build his civilization-changing, historic-levels-of-wealth-creating companies in Canada? It will remain a mystery.

Watching the scenes in Toronto, packed stadiums in LA, and Brazil fans taking over Times Square… it feels like there are multiple World Cups happening at once. One underrated part of a multi-country World Cup: host-city FOMO. Big hubs turn into nonstop football festivals, while smaller cities get fewer matches but often a more local, intimate experience. Imagine being in Kansas or Vancouver vs. the energy in Toronto, NYC or LA. Same tournament - completely different pulse. 🌎⚽️

Since Paraguay and U.S are playing, here’s a trivia question: what do they have in common? 🤔 Answer: Both nations are home to the other’s smallest diaspora community - Paraguayans are the smallest Hispanic group in the US, while Americans are barely a blip in Paraguay despite it being one of the easiest countries for US citizens to move to. ⚽🇺🇸🇵🇾

Since Canada and Bosnia are playing , here’s a trivia question: what do they have in common? They hosted back-to-back Winter Olympics 🏔️❄️ 1984 : Sarajevo (then Yugoslavia) 1988 : Calgary, Canada Two countries linked by consecutive Winter Games history. #WorldCup

Since South Korea and Czechia are playing, here’s a trivia question: what do they have in common? Both were once part of a unified country that later split into two - Korea into North and South, and Czechoslovakia into Czechia and Slovakia. #WorldCup

I am yet to see a single Argentinian who cheers for Brazil or for Neymar to win the World Cup the way some idiotic Brazilians do with Argentina and Messi. Especially now that they won it and Neymar, Brazil hasn’t won it since 2002. Stop the idiocy and the Tango ass-licking

I was trying to think if there is anything common between Mexico and South Africa and it hit me! 🇲🇽🇿🇦 Both represent countries positioned in the southern reaches of their respective continents — North America and Africa. Different hemispheres, different histories, but both sit closer to the south than most all of their continental rivals. Geography meets football!

Popular opinion: this is one of the worst World Cup logos I have seen. Has no identity to it and doesn’t stand out at all. #Worldcup
