ALT Statement from DSA's National Political Committee. Zohran never ran as an individual, but as a representative of a working class socialist movement. It was this movement, spearheaded by NYC-DSA, that led to this victory. The tens of thousands of people who donated, knocked on doors, made phone calls and talked to their neighbors and coworkers not only won this election, they proved themselves more powerful than the over $25 million spent by the billionaire class to stop us. This movement is bigger than one person, election, city, or organization. We encourage all people inspired by the Zohran campaign to join their local DSA or YDSA chapter and get involved so we can continue to fight alongside Zohran and DSA elected officials across the country to create the future we all deserve.

“We have a message for Starbucks, ICE, and the Trump Administration: if you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!”
Albany SBWU stop work to protest ICE disappearances, and civil rights attacks by fascists and businesses alike. See the full statement. We stand with them!
It is an honor to join President Trump’s Cabinet as EPA Administrator.
We will restore US energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, and make the US the global leader of AI. We will do so while protecting access to clean air and water.
When an indigenous Peruvian immigrant wanted to run for Assembly, DSA had my back. We deserve a government that sees the cause of labor intertwined with that of immigrants, trans people, and Palestinians as the hope of the world. Join us to build it: socialists.nyc/join?source=m…

THREAD: We are furious at what a second Trump regime will mean for our lives, for those we love, for the planet and for the working class. In the coming times, solidarity and strategy will be even more important than ever before.
There will be lots of takes on why this happened in the coming weeks and months. We know that the Democratic party, which coddles oligarchs and sanctions genocide in Gaza, chose a fatal strategy and failed to energize working people. We have a responsibility to chart a new path.
What will that look like? We don't know. But we do know that it will require a mass movement, which is why we are asking you to join us. Please join Capital District DSA for a debrief conversation on Monday, November 11 at 5:00 PM: actionnetwork.org/events/wha…
Young people in this country will not soon forget the horrors taking place tonight. Admin, police, mayors are inflicting violence, and students are standing for peace in Palestine. If capitalists want to radicalize the next generation, they are doing a good job of it.
Eric Adams is using his violent police force to terrorize peaceful protesters.
Joe Biden is funding and supporting Israel's genocide of Palestinians.
They are both Democrats. The war machine has two parties; the working class has none.
Students don't want their universities to commit violent acts in their names. It's a simple demand.
Despite unprecedented repression and police violence, we must continue this fight.
FREE PALESTINE. DIVEST NOW.
📣The NY Presidential primary election is on Tuesday, April 2nd. We endorse the @leaveitblankny campaign! Leave your ballot blank to send a message to President Biden that we do not support the genocide of Palestinians.

I am outraged and heartbroken by the deaths of seven humanitarian workers from World Central Kitchen, including one American, in Gaza yesterday.
Incidents like yesterday’s simply should not happen.
Here is my full statement.
ALT I am outraged and heartbroken by the deaths of seven humanitarian workers from World Central Kitchen, including one American, in Gaza yesterday. They were providing food to hungry civilians in the middle of a war. They were brave and selfless. Their deaths are a tragedy.
Israel has pledged to conduct a thorough investigation into why the aid workers’ vehicles were hit by airstrikes. That investigation must be swift, it must bring accountability, and its findings must be made public.
Even more tragically, this is not a stand-alone incident. This conflict has been one of the worst in recent memory in terms of how many aid workers have been killed. This is a major reason why distributing humanitarian aid in Gaza has been so difficult – because Israel has not done enough to protect aid workers trying to deliver desperately needed help to civilians. Incidents like yesterday’s simply should not happen. Israel has also not done enough to protect civilians.
ALT The United States has repeatedly urged Israel to deconflict their military operations against Hamas with humanitarian operations, in order to avoid civilian casualties.
The United States will continue to do all we can to deliver humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in Gaza, through all available means. I will continue to press Israel to do more to facilitate that aid. And we are pushing hard for an immediate ceasefire as part of a hostage deal. I have a team in Cairo working on this right now.
Earlier today, I spoke with my friend Chef José Andrés, the founder of World Central Kitchen, to convey my deepest condolences for the deaths of these courageous aid workers and to express my continued support for his and his team’s relentless and heroic efforts to get food to hungry people around the globe.
May God bless the humanitarian workers killed yesterday and comfort their families and loved ones in their grief.

2 PEOPLE! 1 STRUGGLE! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone! ☘️
We joined the end of Albany’s parade yesterday. Police didn’t like it, but we felt the warm welcome of thousands of people lining the streets. People demand an end to this genocidal war and no more US bombs for it!
Ireland knows the history of colonialism, forced starvation, and war crimes, and it’s why Ireland stands with Palestine! Yesterday we honored their struggle while drawing attention to the people going through the same horrors right now. Free Palestine & Solidarity Forever! 🇵🇸 🍉
