god damn it. closest i've ever come to a huge field victory, 5 left in WPT 33 100k, call someone i barely cover with KK, lose to ATo ace on the river.
just ONE FUCKING TIME FOR GOD'S SAKE
you know what, score one for fucking tenacity. i was down to 2.5bb with five left after that and came back and am now heads up.
granted, heads up with a 7:1 chip deficit. NEVERTHELESS! miracles do happen!
I'm also having just bad overall mindset and motivation problems. It's been a rough month personally and a rough nine months at the tables. Maybe I gotta make a vlog about it, things have been so bad I haven't even made any progress on the podcast in the last month.
lmao for sure this happened, when i text my friends i always send them all the relevant biographical information about me that will help them win points on the internet
Obviously this is a micron thin, planted piece by pro Israel democrats exploiting mopey sectarianism (I count 11 weasel words; 4 “somes”, 3 “increasinglys” and 2 “manys”) but this part, in particular, is both extremely cynical and a fake thing that simply never happened.

I like Doolittle that much...
Funny, we were having a conversation about them last night and I threw out the "hot take that might actually be true" that perhaps Frank Black was holding Kim Deal back.
also, finally put some songs i recorded a few years back on bandcamp. i think they're solid songs, but i am not a good musician. just keep trying to create.

Why does @ClubWPTGold's late registration clock suck so much? Sometimes registration ends the instant it hits 0. Sometimes you have several minutes while the last hand is being played out and people are rebuying. Sometimes you buy in at 0 and get dealt in a hand anyway.
Sorry, no new episode today - I was out of town for family matters for a while there and haven't been able to line up our next guest. Hopefully I'll be able to do that and record as soon as possible.
Related, we're always looking for guests! Drop a line if you're interested.
Thought I'd play again today since there wasn't much going on and it's the same shit as always. Every session I play I spend the first 2-4 hours losing every single all-in, in all the typical fashions.
How do I just choose to be lucky? So many players seem so good at doing that.
Need a mindset shift. Some people seem to just decide to think they're lucky and then they are. Or at least be able to reframe their results in a way to not lose hope or confidence. I don't know how to do that.

Somehow this year I have a -92% ROI in tournaments $100 and higher. they certainly are not THAT much harder than lower stakes. That's why I get so frustrated: As soon as I try to move up to meaningful stakes I just lose my ass every time.
I mean I'm sure I'd have a losing expectation in the former, but I have enough tournament fundamentals that there's no way it's *that* low. And I probably have a winning expectation at $100 online tournaments. I just can't run well enough to win if the prize is more than $2000.
