Capper Foundation’s Marvin N. Henry, Jr. Veterans Assistance Program focuses on Kansas Military Veterans, currently residing in Kansas with a diagnosed mental and/or physical disability. It is designed to provide them with critical and timely financial assistance.

One Day...Lots of Volunteers💙💚
Yesterday, we had groups from @StormontVail and @advisorsexcel help complete the finishing touches for the Halloween party which included additional pumpkin carving/decorating and making the gym look festive for the big day tomorrow.

We also had two long-time volunteers use their sewing and quilting expertise to start making tie-knotted blankets out of fleece that had been donated to our organization.

Yesterday, our gym was full of some very talented and creative pumpkin carvers and decorators. Special thanks to a great group of volunteers from @advisorsexcel for helping everyone tackle a very gooey yet incredibly fun project.

It was an honor to be a part of bringing Disability Mentoring Day back to the capital city. To see so many young adults with disabilities realize that they are valued, belong in the workforce, and can earn their own money was the best feeling for our staff who attended the event.
