Ovi's stats page is updated. Every goal, every goalie he's faced (score or no score), how he did against every opponent, who assisted on his goals. Anything else I should add? capitalsoutsider.com/alex-ov…
Not sure what to make of these reports... Washington is the 13th best U.S. city for hockey fans. At least we beat Philly. wallethub.com/edu/best-worst…
Remember the Caps’ Rock The Red music video with all that eyeliner and hair gel? Brooks Laich does. Off set, he and Mike Green would jam out - when Greenie wasn’t asleep.
@brookslaich and I also caught up about how tight-knit that group was. Full pod out Monday @TheHockeyNews!
I just want to loudly brag that I predicted Ovi would score 32 goals this season, and he did exactly that. (though I predicted 12 power play goals, and I guessed he'd play 70 games). capitalsoutsider.com/2025/10…
2014-15 will forever be the strangest race to the lowest total. Jamie Benn had four points his final game, and went on a tear the last week or so of the season, to get this award.

ALT White text on a black background reading, \"Art Ross Trophy winners\". Below, players are listed with the year, their name, team logo, and number of points.
With 93 points, maybe more this season, these are the most points the Caps have had while missing the playoffs. In fact, they've made the playoffs 11 times with fewer points (excluding shortened seasons).
A good sign for now, but funny stat. The Capitals’ 94 points by rookies mark their highest single-season total since 2005-06. Ovi had 106 points that year!
