Around four years ago today, I had a random encounter while ramming a ship where a shark was flipped into their map table area (on a sloop). It glitched around for a short while before warping back out through the hull and despawning. This proves it’s possible for a shark to actually enter a ship, and technically, with enough water on board, you could keep a pet shark below deck. One day, someone will make this happen. Maybe me, maybe you. But if YOU do, and capture the footage, you’ll earn an Obsidian Capstan and a Gilded Phoenix Crest.

The term grog dates back to 1740 and owes its name to British Royal Navy Admiral Edward Vernon. Concerned that sailors were treating their rum ration less like a privilege and more like a full time occupation, Vernon ordered it to be watered down. The sailors weren't exactly thrilled. Vernon was known for wearing a stiff cloak made from a fabric called grogram, which earned him the nickname Old Grog. They responded by naming the watered down rum after him. The drink became known as grog and the name stuck far longer than the complaints. HISTORY!

Custom Seas is going to be a lot of fun. It feels like it's been designed more with content creators in mind than the average player but I think most people will still get a good laugh out of it and create some memorable moments. The problem is that fun side content and seasonal content are not really the same thing. If this is supposed to help carry an entire Season alongside the occasional returning limited time event then it just is not enough by itself. Season 21 needs to land with some real weight behind it. Adventure Mode needs meaningful additions. New ships, new islands or even entirely new regions. Give players fresh reasons to explore the world and engage with the game in different ways. What we do not need is another couple of delivery missions wearing a fancy new outfit and pretending to be a major update. We have been sailing that particular route for quite a while now. #SeaOfThieves is at its best when it surprises people and gets the community genuinely excited to jump in and see what is new. It feels like it is time for that again. Anything less will mean terrible engagement.

I don’t usually post a “going live” outside of drops, but today's a bit different. We’ll be doing normal gameplay and chat, but also diving into everything coming in Season 20, breaking down the new Season Pass changes, and getting a real read on where the community stands on it all. LIVE NOW. twitch.tv/captain_falcore

Every streamer in the UK right now is checking their PC temps every 30 minutes like it’s part of the stream setup 🤣 This heatwave seriously needs to do one already. My AC is on full Power Ranger mode and it still feels like I’m streaming from inside a hotbox. UK houses were absolutely not built for this kind of heat. First world problems I guess!

This has always been an issue and it’s something I noticed properly once disguises were added to the game. Different enemy factions will technically aggro each other like Skeletons and Phantoms, but if the player isn’t visible, they never actually fight. The AI goes into a threat state and runs toward each other, but combat never starts until the player reveals themselves. Then instead of fighting each other, they just focus the player. With Custom Servers coming soon, this really needs to be addressed because it’s limiting the kind of content people can make. Stuff like 50 Gold Hoarders vs 50 Ashen Lords would be amazing to watch, but right now the AI behaviour stops that from properly working. @SeaOfThieves

"I'm tired of spending hours hoarding loot, then I get killed and my loot stolen" We always hear that same complaint. Avoiding that happening is easy, as explained in this short tutorial that'll make you sail the RIGHT way. #Seaofthieves

Just like Sea of Thieves. @PlayWindrose has similar storytelling which is often overlooked as its mostly enviromental storytelling. And, I think its time to dive in!

I literally got heart palpitations watching this. I hate that I want to play it.
This solo indie dev is making a survival horror game based on Thalassophobia - Stranded on a small boat - No mini-map, navigate using only a compass, stars & sounds - Do not fall into the water Would you play this? It's called Open Waters.

I’ve been a Partner for 6 years, and this program has been a major part of my life and community. But community safety has to come first, without compromise. At this point, a statement is not enough. We need clear accountability and genuine systemic reform in how the Partner Program and its connected communities are managed. If there is no visible commitment to meaningful change within the next few days, I will be stepping down from the partner program.

In light of recent discoveries, I’m genuinely torn on where I stand right now. I’m waiting to see a clear statement or meaningful action that shows changes are actually being made. If nothing happens soon, I’ll be stepping down as Partner. The only reason I haven’t done so immediately is because I know it would place pressure on others in the community and potentially put them in an unfair position. It’s a difficult situation all around. But unless something changes, I can’t continue to be affiliated. This whole thing is sickening. And silence is not going to make it dissapear under the rug. For people wondering whats going on, i'm sure someone in the comments will enlighten you, I don't want to beat a dead horse. This is such a horrible situation.
