MPG.... Quick question
When you were building that tabulated doc with 30 clients, what was the #1 pattern you noticed in winning proposals? (e.g. first sentence, length, showing proof, etc.)
Would love to know what moved the needle most for you.
Flashback...
I wrote tons upon tons of proposals when I started freelancing.
But were not opened.
Then one question:
"Why are they not opening my proposals?"
So, I increased the rate at which I was sending proposals.
From 10 to 20 per day, just for example.
While also increasing the proposals to 20, I wouldn't send the same thing to those 20 people/ companies.
Then people started opening my proposals.
But wouldn't reach out.
Again, another question:
"Why are they not reaching out?"
I continued tweaking things, until one day...
"Hello Sam, we want to get a Business Plan for our HVAC company. Are you available?"
Like a joke, I earned my first dollar online... $40.
"Oh, this thing is real"
I started firing proposals.
And getting a few responses.

I did one thing I believed was where my freelance breakthrough came from.
And that thing is...
I created a tabulated document where I kept the job posts of my prospects and my proposals that got responses.
If I send a proposal and the client reaches out, I'll copy the job post, paste on the left side of the tabulated document, then my proposal that won the client on the right side.
And in about 6 months, I already had more than 30 clients.
At this time, my document was already rich.
So, I was able to figure out the common things in those proposals that made those clients actually reach out to me.
And writing winning proposals became child's play for me.
Even when people said the proposal sending of a thing (Buyers Request) was a scam on Fiverr, I was getting at least 2 jobs from Fiverr every day.
Got to a time, and I felt Fiverr clients don't pay much...
I went to Upwork.
Just two days of shooting proposals, I became a guru on Upwork.
And I kid you not...
I became a Top Rated Plus freelancer when I was very hot and had time for freelancing within one year on Upwork.
And of course, with my Nigerian profile.
So, this is the bottom line of everything I'm saying...
100% of anything I've ventured into, I figured them out myself.
And I've made money from every one of them.
I know you may say you are trying your best, but you have to learn the act of trying your best the right way.
Because there are times when trying your best won't yield results at all.
And if you don't know how to time your trying times, you may end up trying for life.
Because... when you get frustrated on one, you move to try another.
And let me tell you, even if you won't hear...
Growth has a language.
When you make mistakes, those mistakes speak.
Experiences speak; results speak.
And overall success speaks.
But are you listening?
Ask questions.
Why did this work?
Why did it fail?
What can this teach me?
What am I not seeing?
What needs to change?
If you cultivate the habit of figuring things out, learning deeply, and adjusting wisely, life will keep revealing treasures that careless eyes were never meant to see.
Sometimes, your next breakthrough is not waiting for you to do more.
It is waiting for you to figure out more.
