I want to be clear about the nu variant. We know what we know BECAUSE South Africa has invested in advanced genomic sequencing. We owe them a debt of gratitude - not punishment. Transparency is critical in a global pandemic. We need to support these efforts collaboratively.

No matter who you are, if you are making a visit to a care home, please look beyond the task in hand and raise concerns where required. There is great care happening but also times where more support is required.
Now more than ever, frontline workers are the eyes & ears that may first pick up any signs of abuse whether this be in a care setting, the adults own home or the community. Visit the SCIE website for a checklist of things you can do: scie.org.uk/care-providers/c… #SafeguardingAdults

Brilliant Festival of Practice session ,Anti-racist Social Work: history, theory & practice. Very informative and thought provoking. Edmond Burke’s quote “ The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing” really resonated. Thank you @gurnamskhela

By far my favourite hour of the day, with the amazing Kim Leadbeater from The Jo Cox Foundation, as part of the Festival of Practice. “More in common than that which sets us appart” @RachelKemp1 @c_king1977
