Meet Tavita Pritchard. In 2007, he was a backup quarterback that had thrown only three passes until Stanford played USC at the LA Coliseum, a place the then #1 ranked Trojans hadn't lost since 2001, and was a 41 point favorite over a really bad Stanford team with a 1st year HC at the helm. Jim Harbaugh.
He went 11/30 for 149 yards and 1 TD. Not pretty, but enough to clinch one of the biggest upsets in college football history.
Nearly 20 years later he is now in charge of turning around a program that at its peak from 2010-2018 was the following:
-94-27 overall
-5 New Years Six/BCS Bowl appearances.
-3 Pac-12 Championships
-2 Rose Bowl wins
-Twice finished ranked inside the top five.
This is going to be one of the most difficult turnarounds in college football. But if there's anyone that has experience in doing this, especially as a player it is Pritchard.
Can Stanford get to a bowl game within three years? Crazy as you may think. I say they do it in two.
