We're open! The snow has a slight freeze but is wet and mushy underneath which should make for some fun spring turns as the day progresses! It's our bonus week so McDougall's, Captain's and the Learner conveyors are open - if you need food or coffee pop into Base Cafe & Base Bar

Today we are CLOSED. We are currently experiencing some very strong wind and the forecast is for this to increase beyond our safe operating threshold. We hope to see you on the mountain tomorrow!

Main Basin is opening now!
With quite a lot of avalanche control to do, Patrol are looking to open Main Basin lifts by 10-10.30am, and we’ll keep you updated here.

We’ve had another 10cm of fresh snow overnight with cold temps and wind drifts forming. We will be delayed opening our lifts while de-icing and avalanche control work is completed. Chains on all vehicles again first thing! new.cardrona.com/mountain/sn…

We’ve had 22cm of fresh snow overnight with huge wind drifts… it’s a spring pow day! It is however very windy up here still with limited visibility so winds may impact lift operation and it’s a good day to grab a low light lens! Chains must be fitted on all vehicles first thing.

Calm, clear, warm & sunny. Perfect spring conditions for a Sunday ride. The tiny dusting we had yesterday has groomed in nicely and today will be a day to lap the groomers. As they soften they will get incredibly fun. Full report here: new.cardrona.com/mountain/sn…
