Today I’m remembering #EstherSimpson who passed away on 19/11/96 after a life dedicated to rescuing refugees. It’s made me reflect on the current suffering and why it’s important to remember these courageous individuals. @CARA1933 continue that work

Gabrielle Carey was fiercely intelligent: both prickly and generous. I crossed paths with her at Varuna and UTS, where so many students were lucky to be taught by her. Our mental health system is broken. We need to pay artists a living wage.
