Wonder does the National Concert Hall have a diversity & inclusion co-ordinator ? Just asking.
It is clear that the National Concert Hall’s cancellation of the MDA Ireland event grossly violates its published Customer Action Plan which includes the following:
A pledge “ to ensure the rights to equal treatment established by equality legislation and accommodate diversity so as to contribute to equality for the groups covered by the equality legislation on the grounds of gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation , religious belief, age, disability, race and membership of the travelling community”.
It also asserts that the NCH is “ committed to dealing with ALL OUR CUSTOMERS in a professional manner, according to fair and equal treatment, irrespective of race, gender, sociology- economic status, language, disability and other social attributes” and that “ we will promote staff awareness of equality and diversity” and “ deliver a quality service with courtesy and sensitivity”.
Wonder what Mr Peter Kenna, the chairperson of the NCH board has to say. So far totally silent.
