Just asked GPT-4 if a passage submitted by my student is likely to have been written by GPT3.5
This is basically the Terminator 2 of trying to catch students not doing their homework.

So we're at a party, writing creative stories using GPT and we just found an edge of how the creator's politics can effect it. Kind of dystopian...
It kind of shows how important it's going to be to regulate it and consider its bias

.@classcraftgame is pretty good, but it's really annoying that they hide the analytics behind a school license... like I already had to get cash for a premium account, but they have to gatekeep a really critical part of their program behind an even bigger pay wall

Like @classcraftgame doesn't even offer a higher tier for teacher licenses to see data. It really weakens it as a behavior management system. OTOH, @ClassDojo, which has data for free, is missing a lot of fun features. Ugh. I wish there was more competition.

I'm always so happy when ex-students visit me because honestly it's the best feeling in the world to know how their stories have continued past my classroom. I had 4 visit this month and they were such a huge pick-me-up right when I needed it.

I had a problem with students drawing on desks, so I put tape on the desks and invited their art instead.
Check out the amazing custom desktop one of them made me :D
Creative flexibility can really be key to redirecting middle schoolers!
