Two friends with a love of cricket that come together to cover the present, past, and future of the "gentleman's game". We also go on tangents all the time.
Pleased to announce our full interview with West Indian great (& former world record holder for most Test wickets) Lance Gibbs is up on @CricketWebNet!
Shoutout to @fredfertang for his editing!
Also would like to appreciate @the_kk, @gurkiratsgill, & @HolyCricket_513 for...
105 runs from the first 6 overs. 114 from the next 14. Just like yesterday, the team with 200 plus on the board is behind. Punjab has the advantage of playing to a score. 70-30 Punjab. #SRHvsPunjab#IPL

Along the way, we discuss the merit of promoting Marnus Labuschagne to open, wonder if Boland has done enough to displace Hazelwood or not, debate whom amongst Ngidi, Paterson, & Bosch should be 1st change, & much more!

Do this and drop the mic in front of their face. You deserve it, Ange!

Win or lose…the Indian team always shows its nerves in finals. We have dropped 4 catches and missed a run out. A complete opposite to how the aussies fielded against us in the WC final. #ChampionsTrophy2025
Darwin comes on. Chaos ensues. He just changes shit up no matter how we are playing. Love him! You need that crazy when nothing is going your way. #PSGLIV
Right after Virat crossed 70 runs, the whole narrative shifted to him scoring a century over India winning. There is a reason we win games and Australia win world cups. #INDvsPAK#Kohli#ChampionsTrophy
Since we knew about Philip Hughes tragedy which happened 9 years ago & it's always makes me sad to think about it...
But it also reminds me of another young cricketer who considered a child prodigy & on par with Sachin Tendulkar but left the world too soon

Cricinfo or Jarrod Kimber saying hyperbolic things about the Indian team is a sign of the broken financial model of cricket journalism.
Objective criticism or well-rounded research, as it used to happen in India, doesn't get the ad revenues for them, unfortunately.

Kohli played a very good knock and made a game out of it. What do you want from him when 3 of the top 4 got out in the first 5 overs?
Cricket is more about context than these IPL junkies realise. You show your poor cricket iq if you think this is a poor innings. #INDvSA#Kohli
Matheesha Pathirana and Nuwan Thushara are often compared with each other as they fall into the same 'Malinga' category of bowlers but are they really similar to each other? Let's try to analyse
Feel free to RT/Share/Like if you find this useful!!
1. Release points:
Pathirana is about 10cms taller than Thushara and yet his release points are below Thushara's.
Pathirana's release points are just above the stumps and most of the times he releases the ball from an awkward height (very similar to umpire's chin/neck position)
Thushara on the other hand is slightly less round arm, he also tends to use the width of the crease which is not that common with Pathirana.
So the two IPL finalists have a combined total of 0 WC bound Indian players. Reputation always triumphs form in Indian Cricket Selection. #IPL2O24#KKRvsSRH#IPLFinal
