Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Bell thought that we were all superstars today-showing the @WeAreCastleway values in all that we did. They had to choose one person to get the β€˜Spirit of the Games’ award. They chose this young lady because she embodies all of what our #SportsDay is about πŸŒˆπŸ’™

This afternoon, We had a fantastic #SportsDay! We got to show our families just how brilliant we really are. We waved our rainbow streamers high and supported each other in the best way we know how to…the #CastleWay πŸŒˆπŸ’™ @WeAreCastleway

Before making our taxis, we explored different objects that move with wheels. We discussed what a chassis, axle and wheel was. Then, we looked at photographs of London Taxis and discussed our design criteria for make our own πŸš•βœοΈ @WeAreCastleway @Cornerstonesedu

We loved using these β€˜Equipment Mats’ this afternoon. It helped us to organise everything that we needed to make our taxis. Because everything had it’s own place on the mat, it meant that we didn’t lose or misplace anything. We just picked up what we needed. @WeAreCastleway

Today, we worked with a partner to make our own #Londontaxi. Firstly, we used tabs to put the chassis together - this was very tricky! Then, we used two axles and four wheels to make our taxis move. We followed Mrs. Smith’s steps very well! πŸš•πŸ›ž @WeAreCastleway @Cornerstonesedu

Because of the rain whilst we were at #ForestSchool, we made a shelter using a piece of tarpaulin. Mrs. Bell taught some of us how to make our own tent pegs to pin the tarpaulin down. Mrs. Smith was very impressed! @WeAreCastleway #WeAreInventive #WeAreImaginative
