Here's My MBL Team and an associated doc (Light-Prep after-thoughts) if you're ever interested in reading it, paste in the doc as well feel free to grab them: docs.google.com/document/d/1… I hope this unc's misfortunate can be of some entertainment value to others
I’ve contemplated about actually making a post of my team for MBL because I fear that it will turn into a rant post, but I’ll try to make a positive note out of it I just wish I get to play mons in the yearly event and see my improvements reflected like everyone else does

I don't really have an opinion on OTS with natures considering that is already the format we use in TPC events, however I'd like to offer an idea of sorts: Stat creativity (speed specifically) exists even if natures are revealed, it's always a optimization cost issue🧵(1/7)

Specific stat optimizations out of designated natures are cost inefficient, if you intentionally underspeed as Jolly KG you lose out on higher damage which could be provided by Adamant, you sacrifice bulk if you train speed on Brave KG (6/7)

Should you weigh more on the surprise factor mid-match by paying the stat optimization tax or needing specific items/abilities to patch up lost benefit compared to running a standard set? Maybe using open natures to mislead game plans is a play that could be considered (7/7)

I need someone to actually explain to me how does game8 actually use IA for anything but mistranslations, like the Aggron set was labeled as for singles on their website upon quick checks and they just don’t know the term VGC is for doubles specifically🧵
🌧️ Trick Room Rain Team Spotlight: Mega Blastoise Core! A team that reverses the usual speed game where slow Pokemon move first under Trick Room 👀 💧 Mega Blastoise is the main sweeper with powerful Water Spout 🧠 Farigiraf sets Trick Room safely with Armor Tail 🌧️ Pelipper sets Rain and adds support with Wide Guard Helping Hand 🔥 Incineroar provides Fake Out, Intimidate, and pivot utility 🍵 Sinistcha gives redirection, healing, and backup Trick Room 🐟 Basculegion adds pressure outside Trick Room with fast attacks Strengths: ✔ Strong damage under Trick Room Rain ✔ Multiple Trick Room setters and Fake Out users ✔ Can still function as a Rain team even without Trick Room Weaknesses: ✖ No Protect across the team (every turn matters) ✖ Needs proper Trick Room setup to work best ✖ Struggles against Imprison Trick Room Once Trick Room is active, your slower Pokemon move first and start dealing huge damage 🌊🔥 #PokemonChampions

Like if it’s truly IA the team here would not even cohesively make sense, this is something I could see a Japanese player use on a ranked ladder session, is it good? Maybe not, but it is playable by their means And game8 is a Japanese player-focused website🧵

Like it baffles me in we as a community are so into jumping on things that maybe are just different by our standards and just label it as IA when maybe it’s just language barrier at play? If it’s truly IA then by all means jump on it
