The ISPPCC main conference has now started with inspiring talks by Jean-Marie Lehn, @vera_krewald, Christina Wegeberg (@CWegeberg) an Daniel G. Nocera. It is a huge honour to have you all with us. And we are looking forward to a great week of scientific exchange.
The youngISPPCC (uni-ulm.de/isppcc/home/) has just ended and we look back to great scientific exchange and exciting discussion. Many, many thanks to all speakers and contributors as well as to our organising PhD students who made it a great success.
Our DAAD RISE intern Genevieve from Chicago/USA is working to homogenize, densely pack, and crosslink #monolayers of #semiconductor materials to form #membranes that separate the #hydrogen evolution and water oxidation compartments in the #photocatalytic water splitting process.
ALT Genevieve, thank you for being here and supporting us! Enjoy your 3-month #internship!
@francediplo@BMBF_Bund
A very warm welcome to our amazing DAAD Rise Awardees Genevieve Ansay, Isobel Smith, Nathaniel Ritz and Nicholas Covalsen, who will join our labs in Ulm and Jena. Wishing you an inspiring and succeccful experience with us!

A great workshop on OpenAccess publishing given by Jesko Rücknagel from Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology University Library marked the end of our Spring School. Many thanks! Here are a few impressions from the last week:
Many thanks to Prof. Simon Kuhn (KU Leuven) @SKuhnLab for a great talk on hydrodynamics and photon transport in gas-liquid photoreactors and opening this world for us.
Prof. Christopher Kay (Uni Saarbrücken) gave an insightful and entertaining tutorial on EPR spectroscopy. Many thanks for enlighting us on this important method.
Why nanostructuring solar energy conversion? Was a question by Prof. Roland Marschall (Uni Bayreuth) @LabMarschall who took us on a trip into the world of nanostructured materials. Many thanks for being with us and sharing great science.
