I am vacationing in the Caribbean coast of Mexico and I realized that there’s no shortage of feedstock for SAF (Sargassum Aviation Fuel)

Kryvyi Rih. An ordinary city district, surrounded by residential buildings, nothing but civilian infrastructure. On April 4, a Russian ballistic missile struck right next to apartment buildings and a children's playground – right on the street – taking the lives of 19 people, 9 of them children. Honored the memory of those killed. We have no right to forget the crimes Russia has committed against Ukrainians. And everyone in the world should remember as well – for Russia, human life means nothing. Eternal memory to all whose lives were taken by Russian terror.

I am a bit of a masochist so I came to a Monday afternoon showing of “Hydrogen: Revolution or Illusion?” by Andreas Pichler at @cphdox. Very well balanced between hype and realism, good use of @MLiebreich as the grown-up in the room. Should make it to Netflix! #hydrogen

Welp. This is not a great way to start the week. 😵‍💫

I always read “shiitake mushrooms” as “shit take mushrooms” and I’m fascinated by the idea of a mushroom you could eat to make you tweet the good stuff like I do

In the last days I have been quite hands-on with nitrogen adsorption measurements (blast to the past!) which reminded that it is a pretty cool technique. So my old-man-yells-at-cloud message is: more BET, fewer DLC-from-bad-EIS-fits measurements, or rather, ¿por qué no los dos?

Voters cheer, clap as electoral officials wheel a replacement for a broken voting machine in Petare, Caracas. Venezuelans’s deep commitment to voting process, despite all the hardships, has left one of the deepest impressions on me in my 8 years covering the country.

If you are an experimentalist savvy with data analysis and modeling (ideally with some experience with electrochemical devices), check out this fantastic opportunity in our stack R&D team based at our headquarters in Kolding, Denmark! #GreenHydrogen linkedin.com/jobs/view/38341…

1/16 You've heard a million times that sanctions against Putin's regime don't work. That Putin isn't actually affected by them. That's right because he isn't.The same approach is tried over and over for almost 2 years, yielding no results. How about I suggest something different?

After a loooong time, I'm doing the conference thing again at the ECS Meeting in Gothenburg! 🇸🇪 Not presenting anything myself (check out Anders Feidenhans'l's talk @ I06 Tue 17:40) but I'm very keen on discussing alkaline water electrolysis and even some CO2 reduction this week!

Facebook just reminded me that 15 years ago I arrived in Karlsruhe as an exchange student--a great experience that had life-altering consequences, to say the least. 15 years before that, my brother was less than one year old and Kurt Cobain was still alive. Welp, I feel old.

Awesome figure. Clearly shows why finding green routes to ethylene (and without overlooking the others!) is crucial if we want to achieve a fully fossil fuel-free future. Dang, makes me miss my electrochemical CO2 reduction days a bit 😬
@CBE562 students What did you learn from lecture today (9/8)? Most of our discussions will be about how current plastics are manufactured using this figure.
