I went to a secular creator meetup in Pittsburgh a little over a month ago and I was not ready for what I saw.
If we're going to change the culture, we're going to have to step out of our bubbles... but I grossly underestimated how bad it is out there. I expected to meet local creators that do car, fashion, entertainment, music, travel, etc.
What I encountered was a guy who does "Satanic jazz" and another who was trying to leverage Instagram to promote his underground swinger parties. There was also an Evangelical pastor that was a former drug addict that was just excited to tell people about Jesus. I'm ashamed to admit that he was a much better witness than I was in that room.
But, as I left, it really struck me how silly all the infighting among people of faith really is. While we're arguing about the next thing that nobody outside of the purity spiral cares about, there is a godless world that desperately needs Jesus and instead of bringing Him there, we're busy attacking each other over nonsense that only a few hundred people care about.
