Just got an email inviting me to the next meetup… do I go?
I went to a secular creator meetup in Pittsburgh a little over a month ago and I was not ready for what I saw. If we're going to change the culture, we're going to have to step out of our bubbles... but I grossly underestimated how bad it is out there. I expected to meet local creators that do car, fashion, entertainment, music, travel, etc. What I encountered was a guy who does "Satanic jazz" and another who was trying to leverage Instagram to promote his underground swinger parties. There was also an Evangelical pastor that was a former drug addict that was just excited to tell people about Jesus. I'm ashamed to admit that he was a much better witness than I was in that room. But, as I left, it really struck me how silly all the infighting among people of faith really is. While we're arguing about the next thing that nobody outside of the purity spiral cares about, there is a godless world that desperately needs Jesus and instead of bringing Him there, we're busy attacking each other over nonsense that only a few hundred people care about.

The best way to beat the Mormons is to outbreed them. Need a spouse to join the fight? We can help. Link in bio.

Mormons are like the sons of the business owner that moved to town a couple years ago. Yeah, they have money and they’re nice, but they act like they’ve been here since the beginning and say that it wasn’t really a town until they arrived. They claim that your forefathers were so evil and incompetent that they couldn’t keep the town alive past the immediate successor of the founder of the town. However, thankfully their dad showed up to save everyone and he’s much better at succession planning than the original founder. They also say that the founder of the town also founded their business… but in reality, he was really just a high-performing employee at a different branch of the company that moved up the corporate ladder. Nothing is known about his time at the other branch and the sons really wish you’d stop bringing it up. “We really don’t know how many founders there are, and it’s not our place to know”

So much for the burning of the bosom @desiraesifu describes a deep spiritual desolation that started the moment she joined the LDS religion when she was on with @catholiccom For a religion that’s so centered on feelings, stories like this are PRETTY awkward

I’m always amazed that despite how crazy this place can get, we all come together when things get real. Only $6,893 to go and I will shave my head on a live stream.
If this fundraiser for @KeithNester1’s wife reaches the goal before the end of the month, I will shave my head on a live stream. Top donor has the option to do it themselves.

I’m going to have to shave my head aren’t I?

Every single one of us needs to ask if our actions are fostering docility or not
Every path towards conversion begins when we allow the Word of God to touch our hearts and welcome it with a docile spirit. The Lenten journey is a welcome opportunity to heed the voice of the Lord and renew our commitment to follow Christ. #Lent

Yeah, so my friend in Dubai just called the number to see how they could help get him out. He was on hold for 45 minutes, got told that there is no evacuation plan, pointed him to STEP, then hung up.
The U.S. Department of State in a recent update urged Americans to depart now from the following countries: - Bahrain - Egypt - Iran - Iraq - Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza - Jordan - Kuwait - Lebanon - Oman - Qatar - Saudi Arabia - Syria - United Arab Emirates - Yemen

We're putting together a care package for @Evan_raugust who is stuck in Dubai. He's safe and holed up in a hotel in an area that thankfully hasn't been affected by any missile attacks. Let's show him that he may be stranded, but he's not alone. If you'd like to contribute, see the link in comments
