Thrilled to be serving the students of KOBE First Nations schools as part of the formidable, gracious, enchanting Speech & Language Team. #thesaurus#cda#slp
A great final Speech & Language visit of the school year to Deer Lake First Nation School. It was an honour to help out with, and take part in, the K5 and Gr 8 graduation ceremonies (I especially loved the valedictorian speeches- so well done!). Thanks DLFNS for a fantastic year!
Two busy weeks for this CDA: Deer Lake Showcase last week was a success! This week, spent time doing therapy with students in Poplar Hill and after school had a lovely visit with two elders. The box in the picture below is where they smoke their fish. 🐟🛩️

A student reading using the Augmentative & Alternative Communication #aac program on their device. A number of students in the @KOBoardofEd communities use AAC. As with all languages, learning AAC requires lots of modelling & opportunities to communicate!
Starfox 🦊, Maple 🐮, and I 👱♀️ had an excellent week in Deer Lake First Nation school doing Speech & Language therapy. We had fun working with the students on their goals, such as articulation, fluency, categorization, prepositions, plurals, and others. @KOBoardofEd
What an excellent week of listening and sharing stories it has been so far! Starfox and I learned so much #AtCMHR. We also picked up a new travelling buddy, Maple the Cow. 😊 🦊 🐮
Best of luck to the KOBE crew, staff, and students this week at the Indigenous Games in Poplar Hill 😀 Starfox (my travel buddy🦊) and I will be in Deer Lake working on our regular past tense verbs, and lots of other fun stuff! @KakegamicJon37@sueKOBE1@ItLyle
