Update. My union told my manager to not use HR but to seek legal advice. Manager used HR....who said "cases are rising nationally", actually they are falling. l have to wear a mask as per IPC guidelines.....which expired on May 27th. How do these dunces earn a wage?

Another group not to forget, the NHS management, who (unsurprisingly) have set about sacking their work colleagues with gleeful manic zeal.....

I have 7 x 12 hour (8pm - 8am) night shifts starting Xmas Eve. No Xmas for me, no drink, no festivities. If l thought there was any chance of being sacked April 1st then l'd go off "sick". But l don't think that.πŸ‘

Why are people so stupid? Feeling "under the weather" is no sensible reason to go and get a spurious test that shows you covid . Go to A&E and you'll only find yourself on the Covid wards, would that surprise you? Wish I could take pics of their faces on arrival.πŸ˜‚

My workmate couldn't come in today, his son tested after feeling unwell, so NHS Occy Health told him to isolate for 10 days. We work together with Covid patients every day and have done for 18 months...........πŸ˜„

A sudden change. Far younger people are arriving "unwell" & "short of breath" at my A&E. Testing & then being admitted to the Covid wards. All are double vaccinated. Until now it's been "last days" & morbidly obese.

It's 100% political blind faith now. I've been to KIngs Lynn, Norwich, Colchester, Brighton, Folkestone, Canterbury, Cambridge & Leeds in the last 7 days on overnight stays. Perfect example Folkestone. 95% mask free, "Creative quarter", which is 1 street then, total mask zealots

Reading multiple threads today, it seems that every pro-vaccine bod seems to "know" somebody, young, healthy & in rude health who suffered badly. Yet working in a hospital l've never seen one, ever?

If a patient arrives in an a&e cubicle with a "damaged" foot, by the time he/she goes home, or to a ward, this PPE will have been generated and disposed of, o.n.e pnt. 7-10 gowns. 7-10 pairs of gloves. 7-10 surgical masks. 7-10 visors. 1 x large amount of packaging.

The "second wave is on the backbutrner because right now the hysteria is over recent "rising admissions" and "community transmission". The NHS has no intention of doing anything other than "preparing for something whenever"....

No risk assessments have been carried out in the workplace in contravention of the H&S act. The "guidance" says to consider the individual & circumstances, but a blanket mandatory use was implemeted. This will be a claims industry soon.
