Gastroparesis is THE WORST. I’m so depressed because I know that I am about to go through another “hell week” and there is nothing I can do about it. Literally trapped in my body dealing with horrible pain, nausea, bloating, gas and the inability to eat real food. 😢 #gastroparesis

As a society, why do we call something that is delicious ‘gas’? Genuine question. We do not consume gas. Consuming gas would literally kill us in a horrible way. Why are we calling good food/drink gas?!? Make it make sense!

Convince me otherwise

I only ever got to 2 cm with my daughter. After 2 FAILED INDUCTIONS…. I ended up with a c-section and on top of that, a “spinal headache” because when the anesthesiologist went into my spine, he missed and caused a major hole that took 2 weeks to naturally heal. I was leaking spinal fluid and every time I would lift my head off of a pillow, it felt like inside of my skull was totally dry and my brain was crashing up against my skull. It was some of the worst pain ever and I was supposed to just take care of a tiny new human while feeling like I was dying in 20 different ways.

The more I really dive into my deepest thoughts and feelings…. The more I realize that I have SO MUCH PAIN that I have shoved down into the deepest parts of myself in order to survive.

Today I learned a term called “Premature Competence”: When a child is forced to become self sufficient too early because no adult is reliably meeting their needs, they develop a false maturity. In adulthood, they appear highly capable but struggle to ask for help because they never learned it was safe to need anyone.

I know this may sound strange but I’ve literally been going to a ship like this in my dreams since 2018…. I always refer to it as “the cruise ship”. Everything is there and if I’m honest, it’s kinda awesome
