IT WILL COST YOU ZERO NAIRA TO RETWEET THIS ๐Ÿ™ Bayo Onanuga, Tinubuโ€™s spokesperson, announced the sudden arrest of Ifechukwu Dennis as the originator of the fake AI voice note impersonating Tinubu. He and authorities relied solely on a tech investigatorโ€™s video without contacting the investigator. The investigator, Femi Unfiltered, has now publicly stated: Dennis is innocent. He was not the creator, and authorities should have consulted him first. This rushed arrest, with due process completely abandoned, is a clear case of ethnic profiling. Dennis is Igbo. In Nigeria, young Igbo men are too often presumed guilty before trial, especially in politically sensitive matters. Nigerian authorities and Presidency: Release Ifechukwu Dennis Now!. #FreeIfechukwuDennis

State visits by Leaders are not tourism, and diplomacy is not a fashion parade. Every foreign trip undertaken by a government must deliver measurable benefits to the people, including investments, technology transfer, trade agreements, factory expansion, industrial partnerships, and job creation. During President Trumpโ€™s recent visit to China, the American delegation reportedly included a few top government officials, and many of the biggest figures in global business and technology: Consequently, huge trade deals worth several billion dollars including about 200 Boeing orders were achieved. The list of the entourage included 1. Donald J. Trump โ€“ President of the United States 2. Marco Rubio โ€“ Secretary of State 3. Pete Hegseth โ€“ Secretary of Defence 4. Elon Musk โ€“ CEO, Tesla & SpaceX 5. Jensen Huang โ€“ CEO, Nvidia 6. Tim Cook โ€“ CEO, Apple 7. Larry Fink โ€“ CEO, BlackRock 8. Stephen Schwarzman โ€“ CEO, Blackstone 9. Kelly Ortberg โ€“ CEO, Boeing 10. Brian Sikes โ€“ CEO, Cargill 11. Jane Fraser โ€“ CEO, Citigroup 12. Larry Culp โ€“ CEO, General Electric 13. David Solomon โ€“ CEO, Goldman Sachs 14. Sanjay Mehrotra โ€“ CEO, Micron Technology 15.Cristiano Amon โ€“ CEO, Qualcomm 16. Dina P. McCormick โ€“ President of Meta 17. Ryan McInerney โ€“ CEO, Visa 18. Michael Miebach โ€“ President, Mastercard 19. Jim Anderson โ€“ CEO, Coherent 20. Jacob Thaysen โ€“ CEO, Illumina That is how serious nations approach diplomacy, by aligning foreign policy with economic expansion, industrial growth, innovation, and national productivity. I hope that lessons can be learned from these recent visits comparing them with the President of Nigeriaโ€™s recent state visit to the United Kingdom. A large entourage of politicians, aides, and government officials travelled, yet Nigerians are still asking a simple question: what exactly did Nigeria bring home? Which factories are coming to Nigeria? What power, technology, manufacturing, agricultural, or industrial agreements were secured? How many direct jobs will this visit create for Nigerian youths? What investments were attracted? What measurable economic outcomes can the ordinary Nigerian point to? The delegation reportedly included: 1. President Bola Tinubu 2. Senator (Mrs) Tinubu 3.12 governors 4.9 ministers 5.7 members of the National Assembly 6. Over 20 senior State House staff 7. Over 30 security personnel 8. Over 10 domestic staff 9. Several supporters and associates It is not enough to ride horses, wear matching uniforms, attend royal banquets, and release glossy photographs. Symbolism without substance cannot feed hungry citizens. Today, Nigeria is in decline, battling serious insecurity, food insecurity, unemployment, a weakened naira, declining industrial productivity, and worsening poverty. At a time when millions of Nigerians struggle daily to afford food and survive economic hardship, every kobo spent on foreign trips must produce tangible national value: investments, factories, jobs, exports, infrastructure, and economic opportunities. Nigeria needs leadership that is focused less on optics and more on productivity; less on ceremony and more on measurable economic results. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Biko, in this election season, I appeal to all Igbo political gladiators: campaign freely, support whomever you wish, but leave Ndigbo as a collective out of your statements. Do not question our collective choices. From 1960 to date, Ndigbo have consistently voted in line with what we believe to be our interest. The Igbo people have never operated as a monolithic political bloc directed by any single voice or authority. We have no central parliament that determines a unified electoral position. Our strength has always resided in the independence of thought and the agency of our people. Our voting patterns reflect our understanding of our interests, shaped by history and lived experience. That history is not a light one. It carries the weight of displacement and adaptation; the scars of the transatlantic slave trade; the disruptions of colonial rule; the trauma of pogroms; the devastation of civil war; and the persistence required to navigate structural constraints in its aftermath. Yet, we endured. We overcame. And more importantly, we rebuilt. It is therefore important that, even in moments of political contestation, we approach our collective identity with respect and responsibility. What may be described today as political setbacks must be situated within the broader historical arc of a people defined by resilience, enterprise, and renewal. Let us not, in the urgency of present contests, diminish that enduring story. I appeal to all: engage robustly in politics, but allow Ndigbo the dignity of agency. Respect our long arc of survival. Respect our right to choose. Respect the wisdom of our people. Uche bแปฅ akpa onye แปbแปฅna; onye แป bแปฅla na-ebu nke ya. As a people, we are guided by Uche, Uchu, and Egwu Chukwu. Thank You All From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank everyone for the outpouring of goodwill and birthday wishes I received worldwide. I remain deeply grateful to all who marked the day in one way or another, not to mention Nigerian youths, the Obidient family and the members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, renowned for their apostolate to the poor. As for me, while I deeply appreciate the gestures of celebration, I must once again reiterate that I do not personally celebrate birthdays. I recall vividly when I turned 50, during my time as Governor. Many institutions and individuals approached me with elaborate plans for the occasion. One institution generously offered to build a house for me in the village. When I asked for the estimated cost, they said it would be โ‚ฆ120 million. I humbly requested that the funds be redirected to build classrooms in three educational institutions at Agulu, Ekwulobia and Abatete. They obligedโ€”and the impact was far-reaching. Another group had budgeted โ‚ฆ20 million for a lavish party. I graciously asked them to consider using the funds to purchase desktop computers for schools. Their eventual donation of 200 desktops was distributed to schools across the state, enhancing learning for many students. In a similar spirit of redirection, another organisationโ€”whose intention had originally been to celebrate meโ€”ended up donating buses, which we distributed to institutions in need, including one that went to the legendary Old Rangers Association. This has been my consistent approach over the years. On each birthday, I use the opportunity to redirect goodwill towards causes that uplift others. As I turned 64 years old yesterday, I must confess that the current state of our nation makes the idea of personal merriment even more difficult to contemplate. The scale of suffering and deprivation among our people weighs heavily on the conscience. This is why I have once again requested that all those who wish to celebrate me should instead channel their resources towards helping the poor or supporting our struggling health and educational institutions. On my part, I have chosen this day to renew my personal commitment to continue supporting the institutions of state in the best way I can, especially those that directly serve the people. Providentially, I was in Rome, at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs, and my birthday coincided with this visit. I used this sacred opportunity, as I always do when I am in Nigeria, to remember you all in prayer. I especially prayed for our beloved country, Nigeriaโ€”that God may touch the hearts of our leaders, and awaken in them the realisation that public funds are meant for the public good. May we all find strength and grace to keep striving for a more just, compassionate, and equitable society. Thank you, once again. -PO

Dear Bola, You said leaders who think this way โ€œdonโ€™t understand developmentโ€ and that we should โ€œinvest in oil to generate sustained income to invest in education.โ€ let me share why I think youโ€™ve got this completely backwards, and hereโ€™s why: Weโ€™re in 2025 not 1975, and your argument sounds exactly like what Nigerian leaders have been saying for the past 50 years - and Weโ€™re still: 1.Importing fuel 2.Watching our economy convulse every time oil prices drop 3. With 18 million children out of school while we chase oil export revenues 4.Losing billions to expatriate workers โ€˜cos we lack the skills locally The โ€œoil first, education laterโ€ approach has been tested for half a century. It failed spectacularly. Youโ€™ve ignored a massive resource leak & focused on crude oil export proceeds. Consider this: 1.Most high-paying jobs in our oil sector go to expatriates 2.Their salaries leave Nigeria and circulate in foreign economies 3.We export crude oil cheap and import refined products expensive 4.Foreign companies capture 70-80% of the value in our oil sector A skilled Nigerian workforce would plug these leaks and keep that money circulating in our economy. Thatโ€™s maximizing oil sector benefits. Bola, what you called โ€œsustained income,โ€ from oil, is the opposite of sustainable: 1.Oil prices crashed in 2014 and threw us into recession 2.We canโ€™t even predict our budget because oil prices fluctuate wildly 3.The world is moving away from fossil fuels 4.Our oil reserves will eventually run out Meanwhile, an educated population - a workforce that understands green energy- will generate income that grows over time through innovation, productivity, and entrepreneurship. THAT is sustainable. while weโ€™re debating whether to invest in oil or education, 10.2 million primary school children are out of school RIGHT NOW. Youโ€™re Ignoring the Human Capital Emergency- you KNOW this because you were active in the EdTech spaceโ€ฆ These kids canโ€™t wait for oil revenues to materialize in 5-10 years. Every year we delay is permanent human capital lost forever. Countries donโ€™t develop by accident - they develop because they invest in their peopleโ€™s ability to think, innovate, and solve problems. Bola, look at the countries that actually achieved sustainable development: 1. South Korea was poorer than Nigeria in the 1960s but prioritized education, now theyโ€™re a tech powerhouse. 2. Singapore had no natural resources but invested heavily in human capital - now theyโ€™re richer per capita than most oil producers. 3. Norway used oil revenues to fund education and research m thatโ€™s why they dominate offshore technology globally. The pattern is clear: prioritize education, everything else gets better. Hereโ€™s the irony, Bola ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ your oil-first approach is actually bad for the oil sector! With proper education investment, Nigeria could: 1. Train engineers to work in our refineries instead of importing expertise- go and look at the workforce composition of the Dangote refinery thatโ€™s even our claim to fame right now - what do you see? 2. Develop local companies to provide oil services and improve the value chain capture - even with our local content laws, whatโ€™s the biggest challenge ? the skills just donโ€™t exist at scale! 3. Build locally owned petrochemical industries to process our crude derivative products locally- should we talk about Eleme Petrochemicals and how / why it became Indorama ? We didnโ€™t have the skills to run it โ€ฆ 4. Create indigenous technology for our oil operations- every โ€œIโ€™m in Oil and Gasโ€ big boy you meet in lagos is low key a glorified technology reseller๐Ÿฅธ. I said what I said! Bola youโ€™re advocating to keep Nigeria as a raw material exporter foreverโ€ฆ 1/2

Just watched a clip of his interview where he said itโ€™s more important for Nigeria to invest in education than oil. This is the problem with leaders that donโ€™t understand development. Sustainable development. You invest in oil to generate sustained income to invest in education!
