the current decline of megaeth comes from how the chain has been marketed firstly, the chain was promoted to be the fastest L2 crypto bros would ever interacted with. tbh, the testnet experience was even better than what many have experienced on the mainnet. megaeth was very vocal against the culture of airdrop farming before launching the terminal program the launch of the terminal program completely eroded their early stance - it attracted mercenary farmers whose aim is entirely on incentives users couldn't leave genuine feedbacks; the point system, lack of profitable apps and repetitive apps contributed heavily to its decline. the fluffle nft is another failed experiment : participants only bought into the sale because of the token allocation it carries. it might have raised funds and hype for the but it didn't impact user retention. anyone who paid 1 eth for an nft will definitely want to be in profit. how can i forget the ico participants who are already seeing huge losses due to how poorly $mega has performed since launch ? what killed megaeth is simply a change of stance and direction they had from day one launching the terminal point program was the nail in their coffin. building culture and user retention now will require a lot of work. despite how generous pengu was to the crypto community, projects are leaving the abstract ecosystem. if the megaeth team can't find a way to make their users money, i believe this is just the beginning of what's coming. --- this post is purely for the sake of experiment and if the megaeth team finds value in it, I'm open to sharing more in the dms
