True #Peace begins in a heart that loves. It is witnessed to by lips that speak words of reconciliation. It is reflected in eyes that look upon the world with gentleness and wisdom. Only the strength of truth and love is true strength. Whoever trusts in God understands this proclamation of peace and becomes an instrument of peace, building it with their own hands. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

Audiobooks count. I will keep saying this until it stops being controversial. A child listening to a story is a child engaging with narrative, vocabulary, character, and plot. The medium is different. The reading is not.

There are just no new charisms these days. Never mind. Found one.

In the 1980s, this medieval riverside church was scheduled for demolition. However, thanks to a variety of supporters (including the choir boys of Eton College), we were able to rescue and repair it. 1/11

My vibes for this fine afternoon has to begin with The Wicker Man. A stunning soundtrack by Paul Giovanni and Magnet. As a collector of film soundtracks in general this is a firm favourite.

Today, the Church celebrates the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. St. Joseph has two feast days on the liturgical calendar. The first is March 19—Joseph, the Husband of Mary. The second is May 1—Joseph, the Worker. “Saint Joseph is a man of great spirit. He is great in faith, not because he speaks his own words, but above all because he listens to the words of the Living God. He listens in silence. And his heart ceaselessly perseveres in the readiness to accept the Truth contained in the word of the Living God,” Pope John Paul II had once said. There is very little about the life of Joseph in Scripture but still, we know that he was the chaste husband of Mary, the foster father of Jesus, a carpenter and a man who was not wealthy. We also know that he came from the royal lineage of King David. We can see from his actions in scripture that Joseph was a compassionate man, and obedient to the will of God. He also loved Mary and Jesus and wanted to protect and provide for them. Since Joseph does not appear in Jesus' public life, at his death, or resurrection, many historians believe Joseph had probably died before Jesus entered public ministry. Joseph is the patron of many things, including the universal Church, fathers, the dying and social justice. ewtn.com/programs/5403-saint…

On #StGeorgesDay, here's our stained glass window depicting England's patron saint slaying the dragon. The window was designed by Hugh Easton and is dedicated to the memory of Westminster citizens killed during the Second World War. It was unveiled by Princess Margaret in 1948.
