We got Andrewβs auto responder last week and it said he would NEVER see this email.
It was shared across the org as a gangster move
Unplug, unashamed.
I took last week off completely. No email. No Slack. Didn't look at ad accounts at all.
Three big thoughts as I settle back in today:
1. It was great. Do it. Unplug from everything completely sometimes.
Nothing revelatory or life-changing. Just very good to see my life as more than work for a week.
2. I have a surprising amount of anxiety coming back today.
Some of that is probably just the expected overwhelm. But it also makes me wonder if I was living with that much anxiety before and just didn't realize it.
Whatever the answer, I don't think I would've identified this without taking the week off, and I'm glad I did. It's worth considering.
3. My overwhelming thought as I look through emails, slacks, and ad accounts is, "How can I help my clients provide incredible value to their customers, then communicate about it effectively?"
That detailed attentiveness to the financials of your business is the whole ballgame.
Go do that.
