In a brilliant maneuver, Mom relocated my favorite blanket to the window right at the bottom of the stairs. Iāve settled in quite comfortably, but canāt promise I completely given up my position on the landing just yet.
Day 7 of the landing standoff and Iām longing to join in family activities again. I wasnāt feeling well yesterday, but hopefully today will be a better day. Itās Dadās day off, so Iāve got a Daddy nap I need to get downstairs for!
When Momās hurting, Iām hurting. We both have arthritis sensitive to weather. With storms rolling in, I havenāt ventured from the blanket much. Iāll be getting a little extra gabapentin todayā¦
Day 6 of the landing standoff finds me politely waiting for my morning meds. I went downstairs a couple times yesterday and I wasnāt scared of anything!
OMGEEE! I just set the best belly trap EVER! I got BOTH of Momās hands simultaneously and was able to get in several solid bunny kicks! Mom said she had to go downstairs and put knee-oh-sporn on her hands and arms. I maintain full control of the landing.
Decided to come down from the landing and demanded lots of attention from Mom. First time since since The Sneaky Toe Incident that Iāve snuggled in Momās leg tent!
Day 5 of the landing standoff is off to a late start, with me reluctant to emerge from under my favorite blanket. I hope to gain more concessions from the humans today, as well as continue operations to slowly reclaim territory on the main floor.
Iāve been downstairs for two whole hours! Most of it has been wandering around sniffing stuff, but I just decided to flop out with my belly out at the site of The Sneaky Toe Incident. Iām reclaiming my territory!
Starting Day 4 of the landing standoff in a foul mood. I am a kitty who appreciates cozy comfort, of which the landing offers none. I havenāt had a good nap in what feels like ages. Withholding proper bedding seems like a tactic the humans are using to lure me down from my post.
Mom put my favorite blanket up on the landing for me! Naturally, I ignored it and came downstairs (temporarily) to sniff the location of The Sneaky Toe Incident that triggered my extended stay on the landing.
After a magic ear massage, under the protection of Momās shoes and some emotional support trash, I decided to relax a little in the living room. This is a big step for me!!!
