Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) has reached the milestone of 100,000 referrals 🎉
We recently celebrated the milestone in Perth along with partners, while realising the huge impact the initiative has had since it launched in 2016.
ALT Two people holding a sign which says 100,000 referrals, Distress Brief Intervention. The screen in the background says the same.
The initiative provides immediate, non-clinical support and a connected, compassionate response to those experiencing distress.
Change Mental Health delivers the programme in Highland, Dumfries and Galloway, Argyll & Bute and Western Isles.

Kirkcaldy's Beveridge Park is now home to a new 'Take Some Breathing Space' bench!
A new symbol of kindness, care and community, we were proud to launch it with @NHS24 Breathing Space & @FifeHSCP to show that mental health plays a significant part in everyday life.

We have been delivering DBI to children and young people in Highland.
@scotgov have published an independent evaluation on this pilot, stating that DBI can be an effective intervention to reducing distress and offering compassionate help for this group.
🧵
We look forward to working further with partners on the development of DBI for children and young people.
