Some kids did a parent-child interaction task. Negative parenting behaviors during the task were associated with reduced activity in the VTA and cerebellum during positive emotional events. Next question for us: do parenting interventions impact kids’ emotional processing? [5/6]

New article out today in PNAS with @ally_mackey and the @ChangingBrain Lab @Penn! We show that early life stress is associated with earlier emergence of kids’ permanent molars: pnas.org/content/118/24/e210… Thread below… 1/10

Check out this new preprint, by our very own @UTooley!
New preprint examining cortical patterns of children’s brain networks with @ally_mackey and @DaniSBassett! Lots of great work has examined functional communities (a.k.a. networks) in adults. We wondered--do children's brains show the same patterns? biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… 1/6

Happy to share this new work from our lab!
1. New paper out in Child Development: Children Persist Less When Adults Take Over The title kind of says it all, but a thread below srcd.onlinelibrary.wiley.com… with @ally_mackey @anneparkt @D_Martinez_ @sam_dashineau
