By popular demand, here is a line by line close reading of the Curtis Yarvin poem, both in terms of craft, and social and political implications. This is a quick first pass, the kind of thing you do before an essay, but I wanted to show how it's done: avmarraccini.com/Yarvin-Poemโ€ฆ

The 20th Anniversary Edition of Crush will be released in about 7 weeks. To celebrate, I'll be posting translations of Scheherazade in as many languages as I can. If you'd like to share a translation, make a png and send it to richard.siken@gmail.com (or post it and tag me.)

Haven't been writing much poetry lately bc of life but this was fun/challenging and brought me closer to my mom. We talked through interpretations and the nature of poetry. Thank you @richardsiken! War of the Foxes was one of the 1st poetry collections I read after college.

โ€œQueer' not as being about who you're having sex with (that can be a dimension of it); but 'queer' as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and that has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live.โ€ - bell hooks
Replying to @whimpermanence
this is why queer desire is considered so radical. it does not accept what it is given , it bends the bars on its cage , it questions this and this and this and wonders what else could be
