Chaparral relay foursome of Laila Erwin, Tyreona Lee, Aniya Coleman and Kaylani Bostic, and 200-dash sprinter Kimoni Sherman closed out a historic season Friday night in the UIL Class 5A State Track and Field Championships. They were the first Bobcats to run in a state event, and showed they were right where they were supposed to be! #WeAreKISD

What a regional meet weekend for Killeen ISD track and field! Two Shoemaker boys relay teams, two Chaparral girls relay teams and one Bobcat individual qualified for the UIL State Championships in Austin! Overall, KISD had athletes in 30 events across the Class 5A Region II and Class 6A Region II meets Friday and Saturday, showcasing a deep talent pool. #WeAreKISD

Great outcome at Area this Friday‼️Broke the record in the 4x1 and got second🥈, Broke the record AGAIN in the 100m with a 11.71 and got fourth🙌🏾 and SMASHED the 4x2 record and got first place 🥇 🫰🏾. Very proud of me & my teammates🛝. Job is not finished yet 🗣️REGIONAL BOUND🫰🏾‼️
