An official appeal to
@opensea to protect the creators.
On November 2, 2023, our project was Minted NFT on the
#OpenSea. Our team doubted for a long time whether it was worth implementing Mint on our own website or using the “Drops” categories on OpenSea. The choice was made in favor of OpenSea as one of biggest market leaders witch has high confidence.
After the successful sale of the collection, on November 7, 2023 at approximately 16.00 GMT, 5 days after Mint, members of our community who purchased NFTs began to leave complaints that they lost access to their NFTs. This happened as a result of the OpenSea collection being disabled.
Our team immediately contacted support to find out the reason for the disabling. The reason turned out to be the opinion that our project is related to “- Use the Service to carry out any financial activities subject to registration or licensing, including but not limited to creating, offering, selling, or buying securities, commodities, options, or debt instruments”.
Our project is not associated with any of the above. However, having received such feedback, we immediately removed all information that could create such an impression and thereby violate the OpenSea rules and reported this to the support service with a request to unlock the collection since the precedent had been eliminated.
In response we receive the message: “Hi, We're unable to change this decision. I apologize for any frustration this may cause."
1) We chose the OpenSea platform to carry out the Mint. The OpenSea website states: “OpenSea will host your media and metadata when you first upload them. They will be uploaded to a decentralized server called IPFS when you choose to reveal them." and for this reason OpenSea was given full access to the collection.
2) Since OpenSea disabled our collection, we cannot use our collection in any other marketplacw. It showed disabled everywhere. And investors lost access to the NFTs that they are just bought.
3) We paid 10% for OpenSea's Mint. So, OpenSea received the money, got full access and immediately after the mint - blocked with no possibility of return?
This looks like fraudulent activity on your part.
Since we have removed information that may violate your rules, please return the collection or give us, as the creators, full access.
In the event that you can no longer list our collection on OpenSea, please provide access to the collection so that we will update our collection on another marketplace and investors who purchased NFTs will have access to their NFTs.
Thatnk your for attantion and for a retwits. We hope this situation was an mistakeble, OpenSea will figure out it and resolve it soon.
