Thanks so much to @RedSox Hall-of-Famer Bob Stanley for holding a mini press conference for my Journalism II students @Suffolk_U this morning, arranged by student Anthony Boyd. No subject was off limits as Steamer weighed in on the new MLB rules, the '86 World Series and more.
Attention college and university students! @AP has remote paid positions available for Vote Entry Operators, working with AP to gather and report voting results from across the US throughout 2024. Apply now to qualify for Super Tuesday primaries in March. nenpa.com/students-apply-for…
A reminder for student journos: If you're in public covering protests, you have the RIGHT to photograph and record, even if people don't want you to. Your job is to document and record. If protestors don't what to be photographed, they shouldn't be protesting in public spaces.
My view from Wellington Station garage of the reported boat fire on the Mystic River near Assembly and the bridge where an Orange Line train caught fire several months ago.
I was thrilled that legendary record producer Jimmy Bowen could Zoom into my Sinatra: Voice of the 20th Century class at @Suffolk_U to talk about being in the studio when #FrankSinatra recorded his biggest hits of the #1960s.
Those hits included "Strangers in the Night" (No. 1 both album and single), "That's Life" (No. 4) and "Somethin' Stupid" (No. 1), the latter a duet with daughter @NancySInatra.
Over his right shoulder is the gold record for "Strangers in the Night." Thank you, Jimmy, for an hour of music history from someone who was in the room where it happened.
I was happy to take part in this @SuffolkLaw Masterman Series Lecture panel last month with these smart people with incisive questions from the audience. Use the link below to watch the @GBHForumNetwork video. #localnews#journalismmatters
I'll be representing the @Suffolk_U Communication, Journalism and Media Department at today's Showcase for Accepted Students. I'll also pitch my First Year Seminar course on #Sinatra being offered in the fall. Please note the fine print at the bottom of the flyer.
