Damn, weather was perfect today 😢

My papa past away last night. It’s been some time coming but it’s still hard. He taught me so much in life, he was my biggest fan. He didn’t miss one of my baseball games and I played for 16 years. There was a time my brothers and I all had games on the same day same time, he was at mine. I remember when I was 5 and we moved into his basement because my mom was starting over. We moved up to Colorado from Florida… that first weekend there he helped me build my first snowman! I would sit in his lap and he’d read me the comics every morning before he went to work while he drank his coffee and took his vitamins. When he’d come home from work he would never turn down my request to play catch in the drive way. After dinner we’d sit in the couch and if we were quiet we’d get a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. He was always there for me, he always wanted to know what I had going on in life. When baseball stopped and music became my career he would come to my punk rock concerts. I’m sure he hated the music but he saw how many kids showed up so he knew we were doing something right. Then when I became a chef he was very proud and would love to hear about the things I cook and who I’ve cooked for. I’m so happy he got to meet @gordongram they have the same birthday which I always thought was so cool. My papa loved when I would visit and cook him salmon. He always said it was the best salmon he’s ever had in his life. I looked up to him so much, he always worked so hard, always had so much energy, he loved life, but he would always say “don’t get old Derrick it’s a bitch”… he taught everyone in our family so many things, he was such a genuinely good person we will miss him dearly! Sorry for the ramble this has been a really tough month. . Love you papa R.I.P. 🪽💔

I will pick myself up, right now I’m sitting at the bottom stewing, figuring out my new path, but I will find it and I will be better.

Since she left me I’ve had zero motivation. When we first met, on our very first date I remember the spark! My motivations was through the roof! My life became better instantly. She left abruptly and now I’m worse than before. How do I fight this? How do I become better?
