Could Ilia have won that type of fight? Sure. But he fought on Gaethje’s terms counting out his durability
I love how all the experts are now saying trying to out dog Gaethje was a bad move when prior to the fight everyone said Gaethje needs to avoid the punch ups because he will get exposed and knocked out.

Trying to out-dog Gaethje was possibly the worst approach Topuria could take, but that’s the price of hubris.
