On 16/17 February, TU Delft gathered the consortium partners from all over Europe, to coordinate project activities at first in-person meetings of the EU-funded CHEK project. We had a tight agenda, but great discussions, presentations, workshops and of course, lots of fun.

Today, CHEKdbp Consortium members gathered online to discuss the monthly project progress and preparation of the second in-person meeting in September in Brescia, Italy.
Now in its second year, the CHEK project is showing promising results.

The February Monthly Meeting for the EU-funded CHEK project was held yesterday, February 27, 2024, on the Teams platform. We had approximately 30 participants from all consortium partners, discussing the progress of the project as well as addressing open questions.

We are proud to present the CHEK DBP Maturity Model (CDBPMM), a new proposal for a maturity model tailored to evaluating and incrementally enabling municipalities to digitally transform building permitting, developed by Fraunhofer Italia Research.

In order to improve BIM and GIS integration, as a part of CHEK project, the 3D Geoinformation research group at TU Delft is developing a BIM Shell Extractor which extracts the outer shell of an IFC file and stores it as a CityJSON model.

Work in progress on CHEK Wiki of Digital Building Permits. It will help the process of upskill/reskill the construction value chain by gathering the multidisciplinary knowledge for better comprehension of the building codes terms important for the building permit process.

The CHEK consortium consists of 18 multidisciplinary and multisectoral coverage entities from 12 countries in Europe. In addition, a strategic Advisory Board and growing Community of Practice members, assists the development and the exploitation of the results.
