Right from the age of 2, my dad would always tell us, the harder the task the more you try.
The worst thing you can do is tell him you can't do something. He will take it upon himself to make sure you do it.
I am yet to meet anyone who hates excuses & weakness like my dad did.
I started offloading 40ft container of electronics from secondary school. If them born you well, break anyone.
He would sometimes intentionally miss sending us our monthly allowance while in the university just to pass a message that anything can still happen and we must learn to adapt.
As wealthy as he was, we all stayed in the same 3 bedroom apartment with almost 20 apprentices and two househelps till we were done with our formative years then we moved to a very spacious and well built duplex.
We would fetch water and climb to the third floor where we lived in Onitsha. You do not ever come home crying because you got bullied in school. You must ALWAYS fight back. It is even worse if you come home crying because a girl bullied you. E go disown you join.
You would speak when you are spoken to, stand up for yourself when necessary and know your place at all times. You must have respect for hierarchy.
We hated him for all the trainings back then but there is a reason why I have failed at 4 businesses and still keep starting new ones till NeoStore clicked.
There is a reason why I cleared up a debt of N40m without committing suicide. There is a reason why I can be going through hell and you will not know because to me, it is just another day. There is a reason why I do mot pray and fast for what I can figure out with my head.
Fatherhood does not get better than my father.

As you get older.. you should wanna carry yourself differently. Your mindset should be different. Your morals should be different. Your choices should be different. It's certain things you can entertain & certain things you have no business entertaining anymore. You should always think HIGHLY of yourself to the point you know some things don't deserve your energy. At this age you should be mature enough to know the importance of self value.
