There you go. In one interview, Cucurella said more about this project than some people and protests have managed in four years. Less shouting. More articulation. More conviction. That, combined with the polls showing most fans aren’t happy, is what actually forces change.
Even I, who try hard to understand the project, agree wholeheartedly with Cucurella here. I love this interview with @TheAthleticFC, because it will surely hit home. How we react in the summer will shape this project. I believe Cucurella was very intentional about his choice of words.

Smallest nation ever at a World Cup (156k people), and they score on debut against Germany. Fairy-tale stuff. Respect, Curaçao 🇨🇼
❤️‍🔥🇨🇼 156.000 population, smallest country ever to reach the World Cup… and Curaçao scored in a magic, historical moment for them.

Alright, Chelsea FC, show me what you've got. Let's see the replacement.
‼️Real Madrid reached agreement with Chelsea to sign Marc Cucurella for €60m [€55m fixed €5m bonuses]. ~ @David_Ornstein

That, and in my opinion, Cucurella's reported desire to return to Spain could be among the reasons Xabi Alonso sanctioned his sale.
I won't be surprised if Alonso wants to sign Grimaldo as Cucurella's replacement. There aren't many experienced technically gifted LB/LWB available in the market.

Not a red line for me, if he's not committed, and we get a good offer, sell him!
It will be devastating at this point to lose Enzo Fernandez. We must not cross that red line.

Setelah Ayyoub Bouaddi, Masih Ada Ibrahim Rabbaj. 🙌
Baru 18 tahun, tapi Ayyoub Bouaddi bermain tanpa rasa gugup di panggung Piala Dunia. 🇲🇦🌟 Debutnya melawan Brasil langsung menunjukkan kenapa ia dianggap sebagai salah satu talenta muda paling menjanjikan milik Maroko. #FIFAWorldCup

USA 4-1 Paraguay: This is the kind of performance that brings America together. At least the football lovers, and maybe a few new converts too.
This is a massive start and result for Pochettino. Home team winning their first game 4-1 and playing outstanding football. That's a dream start for Poch. It will galvanise the whole nation now, even those who have no interest in 'soccer'. Their next game is against Australia, that's another 3 points as far as I'm concerned. They will be a dangerous for anyone in the knockout stage.

Typical example of leaning towards popular names over actual quality.
Replying to @Blue_Footy
In all honesty, I don't think either of the 3 are better fit for Chelsea. We need a Gabriel kinda profile to compliment Levi. I should be seeing names like Romero, Mancini or Upamencano not Konsa. What is a Konsa 🤣

Why are they always bringing up Nigeria anytime they're angry? He is from DR Congo but stays in the UK but thinks he can get at me by mentioning Nigeria. 😂

Excellent read on how Xabi Alonso's use of the pivot will bring out the best in Enzo Fernandez.
✍️ Xabi Alonso's use of the pivot will bring out the best in Enzo Fernandez. I believe he is primed to play Xhaka's role under Alonso. Xhaka was tagged as poor defensively and was moved up the pitch just like Enzo, before Alonso bought and transformed him. Alonso plays with a very low possession depth, which means there is minimal distance between the defense, midfield, and attack. This is cash-money for midfielders who aren't great out of possession because they will have minimal space to defend and teammates close to them to help. Plus, Alonso wants the two defensive midfielders in the pivot to be close to each other. This will basically mask Enzo Fernandez's out-of-possession issues. Like I have said before, if Enzo and his representatives are smart enough, they should be begging Chelsea to stay and play under Alonso. He will take Enzo's game to a much higher level. I'm dying to see that possibility.

🚨 A 17-year-old starting back-to-back games for his senior national team is absurd. Dastan Satpaev is already running the show for Kazakhstan. Just look at this: 🇧🇪 Scored against Belgium’s senior team at 17 (1-1 in WC qualifying) 👶 Youngest debutant and youngest goalscorer in Kazakhstan history At club level with Kairat, he’s been a menace too, with 19 goals in 39 senior appearances already. He’s not some “one for the future” kid anymore. He’s playing proper grown-man football right now. The technical security and physical maturity he’s showing are ridiculous. He’ll join Chelsea’s first team this August when he turns 18. Chelsea might genuinely have an absolute monster on their hands. That €4M fee last year is looking like pure robbery already. Most underrated teenage talent in Europe right now? 👇

Barco is a perfect Lionel Scaloni type of player.
Barco's goal against Iceland. 🔥 It's interesting that he actually played as a narrow left winger in this game. Scaloni is such an underrated coach. He's so good at profiling. That's how he got Argentina playing great as a team.

Form fluctuates. Gusto has not been perfect, but he has already shown he can be a very good Premier League fullback. If Chelsea sold every player after a rough patch, half the squad would be gone every season. 🔵
SELL. SELL. SELL. SELL. SELL. SELL. SELL!

B. Nicolas Jackson 🟢 Whereas Jackson can be inconsistent in front of goal, he's already shown he can do it in the Premier League. His movement is elite, he presses relentlessly, and creates space for those around him. Delap is a talented prospect, but Jackson has proven more at the highest level so far.
Who would you keep as Joâo Pedro's backup❓️ A. Liam Delap B. Nicolas Jackson
