On Friday, June 14th, Cherokee Street Elementary School celebrated Flag Day. The Cherokee community came dressed in red, white and blue. Additionally, the day began with a group of students led by Mrs. Isleman singing "You’re a Grand Old Flag." @ConnetquotCSD 🇺🇸
We celebrated Heritage Day on April 30th. Children dressed in cultural clothing or a shirt that represented their family’s heritage. Students were also encouraged to bring in a show-and-tell item that represented their family’s culture and shared with their class! @ConnetquotCSD

5th Grade Lab Experiment 🧪🥼As part of their study of science, fifth graders experimented with the methods required for a cloud to be created. Thank you to @S_Burns_Science for her assistance with the lab! @ConnetquotCSD
4th grade recently celebrated Colonial Day. As part of their studies on American colonialism, students researched the life & occupations of colonists. As a culminating project, they shared their research through presentations, skits & a gallery walk. Great job! @ConnetquotCSD
Recently the 5th grade celebrated Career Week. Community members visited classrooms and shared experience from their respective occupations. Occupations included @ConnetquotCSD’s Superintendents, NYPD, Firefighters, Musicians, and more!
