So I just checked out the MTG Premodern format and it kinda speaks to my soul 😅
I found that one of my all-time favorite decks in any TCG "The Rock" is viable in the format and immediately dug out some of my old cards.
I may need to put this together 🤔
This is because the card pool is insanely deep and we have less performance data which has created a more diverse competitive landscape.
Give it a few more years to fully catch on but I think we’re back to the 90s with how competitive Magic feels right now.
My binder was stolen at MagicCon Vegas. It contained about 15,000$ worth of cards, many important to me, artist proofs or alters alike. PLEASE be on the lookout and share this post around seeing it happened IMMEDIATELY before the convention ended (5:40 pm, a few photos below)
Congratulations and thanks to the Gathering for making Secrets of Strixhaven the biggest Prerelease since War of the Spark.
We are continuing to celebrate Secrets of Strixhaven at MagicCon: Las Vegas. And, as always, you can join the Gathering at your local game store!
I’m saddened to announce that due to declining health I must let my MTG collection go. I have consigned 1000 graded and 5300 ungraded cards from Alpha to Revised to Kid Icarus on eBay tinyurl.com/Kid-Icarus-eBay I would like to thank the community for all the fun since 1994. Cheers!
ALT text excerpt from Kotaku piece about DLSS 5 reads: One dev who wished to remain anonymous told Kotaku, "People debate if video games are ‘art,’ but I prefer to see video games as galleries. Every game has many different forms of art within. Animation and sound design are separate yet complementary pieces of art. Although separate, every piece works together to create a full, cohesive product. [DLSS 5] deconstructs the gallery. It breaks away one piece of the full experience and returns a game into segmented elements. It won’t ruin a game, but it does destroy its purest expression, and to that, all I have to ask is, what is the point?"
We spoke to multiple game devs and all of them hate DLSS 5: "What the fuck, Nvidia?!"
One person currently attending college and studying game development, told Kotaku that after seeing DLSS 5, "it feels like there is no future for me." kotaku.com/we-spoke-to-game-…
How many Secret Lairs have sold out in 27 min or less since Print to Demand returned? Not many, but that’s not why people are upset. Folks are upset that WotC has done nothing to address the poor experience despite it happening for years (since Mythic Edition was a thing).
What makes this video so impactful to me personally is that we were saying the EXACT same thing about Baldur's Gate and the 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit Secret Lair in 2022, and things still haven't changed!
To Saffron's point, Hasbro/WotC are telling us it isn't broken.
It’s crazy to me how the few good ones are always limited stock to the point where they sellout in 30 min or less but the rest are usually still available days later
It's such a shame to see a cool product like the DanDan deck be wasted by having such limited supply. I don't even bother to try to buy Secret Lair drops at this point. It just doesn't seem worth the time and hassle for what seems like low odds of getting the product.
