Claude and Aider have been getting a lot of attention lately. Check out this article on my experience using these tools to build a basic ticketing system! dev.to/chiefremote/using-cla…

It turns out that coding was the easy part. Now people have modern looking, functional apps with no idea how to sell, market or support them. Developers have been shielded from the business side for most of their careers. Often by choice.

Most software companies have a problem- They need more QA but there is no budget. They need more test automation but Engineers don't want to write tests. Maybe AI can help? I tried vibe coding Playwright tests with Cursor and Claude: linkedin.com/pulse/part-4-us…

In most companies, software developers hate writing tests and QE is already stretched very thin. Maybe Windsurf and Claude can help? Check out my results working with Windsurf to create Playwright tests: youtu.be/omJo9bDTIaY

I have heard some good things about Elixir Phoenix but never used it. I tried Vibe Coding with Windsurf to see if I could create a To Do list as a "prompt engineer". Could I get it to work without writing any code of my own? youtube.com/playlist?list=PL… @codeiumdev

A lot of people are complaining about return to office (RTO) policies. Companies should understand this. No one wants to commute 1-2 hours each way to an office to have virtual meetings all day. Get home when your kids are already asleep and repeat multiple days a week for the next 30 years. Sign me up for remote work.

Does the reality of Vibe Coding finally match the hype? Are the tools able to handle something more than a simple project? Watch me attempt to develop a Knowledge Base using Windsurf and Claude 3.5. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

I am happy to see you're also struggling with the differences between Chat, Composer and Agent. Now I don't feel so stupid. Last I checked, their documentation does not really explain any of this. This is some bleeding edge, black box, "Move fast, Break shit" technology!

Very cool @mntruell cofounder of Cursor (he introduces himself as just a dev 😂) saw the flight sim He asked for feedback and he gave some tips: The context window is an issue but normally people don't use Cursor with files that big, but now they do wanna fix it But yes short files work better Splitting up my flight sim into different files didn't work last time but I didn't try Agent mode yet so I'll try that tonight I feel like AI apps should always have sane defaults and use the right modes for your question/prompt while letting you override that if you want Because now there's Chat, Composer, Agent etc. and it takes me some time to understand the differences as the forever noob I am Anyway amazing responsiveness from the Cursor founders, reminds me of Stripe a lot, he even looks a bit like @patrickc 😀 inb4 they only dm you cause you're big on X, I have no idea but they seem very nice!!

So many companies get this wrong. They consider Customer Service to be a nuisance and cost center. A very short-sighted view. It can be the key factor in turning customers into clients and clients into advocates.
Great Customer service is the most basic yet powerful differentiator in business. It’s a slower growth at first but explosive growth of referrals is inevitable.

The remote work debate has been beaten to death. There are pros and cons and it CAN be successful only if the company supports and nurtures it. If not, it ends up as a miserable experience for all involved until you quit or "return to work" with your tail between your legs.

Pretending to work while taking money from taxpayers is no longer acceptable

Part 4 of my series on using AI tools to create software apps. In this chapter, we will attempt to use Cursor to create Playwright tests. In most companies, there is very little budget for QE and most Developers hate writing tests. Can AI help? dev.to/chiefremote/part-4-us…

Open Source does not always mean free. Take Red Hat's example - If you really want to view the source code for free, have at it, IF you can find it. But to get the most out of their Linux distro, you need to pay for support, hosting and maintenance.

Everyone else is making millions with Cursor and Claude. Why am I finding all the bugs? Crazy potential but once you go beyond a very basic structure, you better know what you are doing. It is more of a "pair programmer" than "set it and forget it". #Claude #CursorAI

What is everybody using for newsletter and SMS management? Small list of 1000 opt-in leads. Will maybe send 1 email and text a month.
