Five shops across the borough have been ordered to close following ongoing concerns by the council’s Trading Standards team about the continued sale of illicit tobacco products, including vapes.

The sun came out & so did the crowds!🌞
Lovely to see the High Street & Commons so busy today & the Chislehurst Rotary Club Summer Fair so well supported.
We also popped along to Chislehurst Glebe Football Club for their football presentations.
Chislehurst was buzzing today!
Unfortunately scammers operating in our area
- team has been round offering to replace tile on a roof while were “working next door”. But it wasn’t true - there wasn’t a broken tile & the neighbour wasn’t having work done. Claimed to be members of Checkatrade; checking it out
In another, resident was duped into paying for waste to be removed from his property, only for it then to be dumped on our streets nearby 😡. It has been reported to the authorities as a scam and the resident has cleared the waste away. Please only use licensed waste contractors.
Congratulations to Bromley Scouts who recruited 277 volunteers for Bromley's 60th anniversary - far above their target of 60!
There are many great volunteering opportunities across the borough, including in support of the armed forces community.

Did you enjoy the Ancaster Motor Show in Chislehurst High Street last Sunday? St Nick's was represented by a splendid rally car and her team - raising awareness of men's mental health issues.

➡️Upcoming SGN Gas Main Replacement Work At Sundridge Avenue, Bromley - Temporary Signals From Monday 15/06 - WORKS POSTPONED ⬅️
SGN have advised that they are delayed on their works / temporary signals starting at Sundridge Avenue / Logs Hill / Elmstead Lane on Monday 15/06.
We recently took up with idverde the state of the playground at Belmont Open Space.
We are pleased to see that a new retaining timber wall has now been constructed to prevent the soil mound washing into the play area and exposing the underlying concrete (please see below image)
In addition, the grass has been cut and the fence has been repaired.
idverde’s operatives have also inspected the wet pour and confirmed it is in an acceptable condition, with no concerns identified. They will continue to monitor this as part of their daily site inspections.

Unfortunately we’ve had a report of a break in into a car:-
“My partners car was broken into parked in Albany Road last night. Nothing was taken as she never leaves anything in the car.
Her near side window was smashed & door handle was scratched where they tried to get in.”
SGN have closed Leesons Hill, St Pauls Cray (Tues 09/06) at the junction of Sevenoaks Way to make urgent repairs to a gas leak.
Road likely to remain closed for up to 4 weeks whilst they complete complex repairs on their gas network. Local signed diversions are in place.
