A patient had weight reduction surgery - the surgeon noted that the liver appeared cirrhotic intra-operatively and biopsied. The etiology was probably metabolic fatty liver disease but once there is cirrhosis, the fat is often absent.

An unfortunate case of cervical "squamous cell carcinoma" in a female in her early 40s who apparently was never screened. Malignant cells are seen embedded in and surrounded by heavy tumor diathesis. (PAP Test, ThinPrep)
