Reform & Tory wank-wizards: “DISABLED? GET A FUCKING JOB!” Also Farage/Reform: Ban WFH, torch DEI, force everyone back to the office. So…force disabled people into work, but delete every accessible/flexible option to actually do it. Peak glittering hypocrisy. Victorian workhouse reboot incoming 👏😡

I am fed up with the current @OxfordshireCC administration who are intent on wasting tax payers money instead of fixing and maintaining our roads. It's not acceptable. Listen to your constituents instead of coming up with useless hair brain schemes which are a waste of our money!

I thought the government wanted to “get people in to work” …so how does this help? 🫠 Working from home enables disabled people, mothers and many others a chance at not just getting a job, but maintaining stable employment.
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home and the focus on work-life balance "People aren't more productive working from home - it's a load of nonsense. They're more productive being with other fellow human beings"
Community note
Nigel Farage employed his wife who worked from home. telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/… Reform UK also employ people who work from home. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

It's barbaric what this government are doing to disabled and ill folk of this country. 🤬
I'm housebound. I can't feed, bathe or dress myself or wipe my own backside. It takes 3 hours to get me up. It takes an hour just to take me for a wee. Etc, etc. How is lowering benefits for people in my position going to make us find work? @patmcfaddenmp @keir_starmer @uklabour

My powerchair is another aid in my toolkit which I am thankful for
Guess what?! Apparently people need telling again!! A lot of wheelchair users can move and many of us can even walk! Amazing isn't it? Who'd have thought, not all wheelchair users are paralysed. #stilldisabled #ambulatorywheelchairuser

RT @DisRightsUK: Let's be clear, this whipped up scandal is part of the wider trend targeting any and everything Disabled people need to be…

It's a lease, which helps keep disabled people mobile. For me my last car pre Motability was old, costly and I had to stop driving it because driving a manual car was too hard on my joints. I couldn't get my wheelchair in it or afford to upgrade it.
🔥 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT MOTABILITY, SINCE SOME OF YOU ARE COMMITTED TO BEING LOUD AND WRONG 🔥 The ignorance about Motability could power the national grid.
Some of you are out here spewing BS. 💥 No, disabled people do NOT get “free cars.”
You don’t wake up one morning, sneeze, and materialise a shiny SUV from the government fairy. You exchange your Higher Rate Mobility or Enhanced PIP mobility entitlement - and that payment goes directly to Motability. It’s a lease, not a gift. 💥 No, you cannot just pick a “luxury car.”
You don’t stroll into a dealership and order a BMW for fun. You get a short list of sensible, usually basic models. And if you want anything even remotely bigger, you pay thousands in an upfront “Advance Payment.” From your own pocket. Disabled people are literally paying extra for the crime of needing space for mobility aids or adaptations. 💥 Insurance? Servicing? Repairs?
Included - because it’s a lease. Not a magical perk. Just a standard part of the deal. And god forbid someone bumps into a Motability car the way some people act, you’d think the disabled driver was committing murder. 💥 Reality check:
Most disabled people only choose Motability because buying and maintaining a car is financially impossible when your disability already bleeds your wallet dry.
This scheme is a lifeline - not a jackpot.
It gives people independence, work access, medical access, the ability to have a damn life. 🧨 So before you start raging about “free cars” and “scroungers,” try this: learn how the system actually works.
Disabled people aren’t living the high life. They’re just trying to exist. And if that offends you?
🚗💨 Touch grass. Preferably far away from Motability cars.

Try living this life, it's not easy, or glamorous. I would do anything not to be walking this path, but it's the deal I've also been dealt. 😕
If the PIP life is so glamorous, swap with me, ableists. Take my medications every morning and night. Deal with the side effects and barely being able to do anything because of it. Stop having to do anything you enjoyed, before. Deal with the constant pain from the moment you wake up, that the medications you take day and night barely touch. Face constant abuse and stigma for being disabled, and being called names like you're in some sort of nazi state because you need extra support. Deal with constant poking and prodding in medical appointments where the "specialists" admit they don't really know how to help you, and give you no hope of ever feeling better. Go through this and then tell me you'd chose it over being healthy.

I honestly feel like I need to become a Bond villain, with the aim of making everyone in the UK disabled. It seems the only way to silence the awful voices of those spouting all this rubbish about Motability & benefits, let alone the assisted suicide mob.

I have had it with the government of this country, blue or red, they are all the same. Do you think I want to have progressive and chronic illnesses aged 40 which have left me too unwell to work? I want to be financially independent but I am too unwell to go to work! FFS 🤬😠🫤🤯

If ever there was a case for bringing back the death penalty, which most UK citizens support, Axel Rudakabana has strengthened it. £50K a year to keep that vermin alive for every year he spends in prison or “mental health facility”. Thats £2M of taxpayers money for 40 yrs. 😡
