HOT TAKE: Amaru Gaming will qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026. My gut feeling tells me that PiPi is poised for a monster performance this qualifier.
I struggled to choose between Red Hot Chili Pibble (Kotaro & Mnz stack) and Team Nemesis. On one hand, RHCP's players have been actively participating in streamer tournaments, which has likely helped them build character and patience, especially when dealing with 1k MMR teammates. On the other hand, Nemesis has been competing in EU tournaments like the EPL and the 1W Essence series over the past month, even if their performance hasn’t been stellar. This experience, however, provides valuable practice that could be beneficial. While I wouldn’t be surprised if RHCP knocks out Nemesis, I’m leaning toward Nemesis due to their participation in the European competitive tournaments.
Then there's Estar Backs, who genuinely seem capable of going all the way in the tournament. As always, Estar Backs either will show a honey moon phase or rely on Parker to dominate the competition 1v9. Slatems, the self-proclaimed best midlaner in the world, has to make sure he stays level-headed and doesn’t tilt himself. With Yadomi on the team, I truly believe we might see Estar Backs make it to the Grand Final. Of course, a safe prediction is that Parker will throw at least one game. 🦇
On another note, Hokori, or the Hong Kong Riders, appeared shaky in their matchup against Perrito Panzon, which doesn’t inspire confidence. I’m not high on them in this qualifier.
What do you think? Is Amaru really the clear favorite in this lineup?
Last but certainly "not" least, Team DK, Zetta Games, and Chandogs are worth keeping an eye on; they are considered fillers, but they’re dangerous enough to take a map off anyone.
