I know Iāve said it before but covering Russell Westbrook this season has truly been such a privilege.

Milwaukee might be (whether rightfully or not based on Miamiās value offerings) looking for extras.
The Heat approach is akin to the price fixed three-part meals at fancy restaurants. You get appetizer, entree, desert. You get either the lobster bisque, Ceasar or baked brie as appetizer. You don't get everything from every category. Nor should you IMO.

Call Kawhi a ābackupā option for the Heat, sure, but thatās still a great option. Miamiās medical community will do wonders for him.
Bam Kawhi some retooling and cap flexibility in 2027 would put the team on a good path contending now and a high ceiling destination tomorrow.
I donāt have any sources from the Heat telling me anything. Iām not a reporter. But that was just my prediction from reading tea leaves.
