So basically, Russia’s strategy was never to win the election outright, they knew that wasn’t realistic. The goal was to get enough Kremlin-aligned parties into parliament to secure a majority. They failed 👍🏻

With 100% of the votes counted, Pashinyans Civil Contract has won majority with 49.81% of the votes, Samvel Karapetyans Strong Armenia Alliance came second with 23.29%, Robert Kocharyans and ARFs alliance came third with 9.94%, Gagik Tsarukyans Prosperous Armenia came in fourth with 4%. The other parties participating did not receive enough votes to matter or make it into parliament.

Before voting begins in Armenia, a few very important things to note about the voting process as fake information always tends to spread during elections: -Armenia has voter ID laws. Everyone must present a gov issued ID (ex: passport), sign and use fingerprint before voting. -All polling places have live cameras streaming constantly, accessible fully to the public. -Voting is done with a physical paper not electronically, not digitally. There is no way to digitally spoof the voting count. -Almost all polling places, the major ones for sure, have representatives of parties participating in the elections, international observers and watchdogs observing the process taking place. -All polling places have law enforcement nearby incase something happens. -Votes only begin counting after the voting period ends. -All votes are physically counted by hand in front of everyone at the site and on a live stream. Be cautious of grifter accounts online posting AI videos and wait for reliable sources for information. If you are eligible, go out and vote!

Only a few days remain until the elections in #Armenia—and Russian pressure is growing. The Kremlin is using the exact same playbook that we, Georgians, know by heart and are thoroughly sick of.

This Tatoyan guy is getting way too into his role and already sounds like a dictator. Judging by the way he's talking, there's no chance he'll willingly hand over power to anyone else.
