When I was a teacher, I’d explain to students how when they trash any animal food, that’s an actual animal that was exploited/killed for no reason now. And unnecessary “nourishment” is a shit reason to begin w/ considering we could choose/thrive on 100% plant-based food options.
Did you know 20% of animals killed for food are just thrown in the trash? Over 20 billion animals a year.
