🚨‼️For over seven years, @RajaForIL picked up his phone, called up the CTO of Palantir, asked for money, and accepted his donation – including last summer when Palantir was already helping ICE terrorize Chicago communities. Voters are fed up by politicians who say one thing and do another.

If the cost of living keeps going up, wages have to go up too. A livable min wage means parents home for dinner, fewer families choosing between rent & groceries, more money circulating in our neighborhoods. Working people shouldnt have to carry the whole economy on their backs
Let’s stop talking about how to give people the bare minimum, and start talking about how to help Illinoisans thrive. When I get to Washington, I want to see a $25 minimum wage at the federal level.

Our communities are under attack. The future of the Democratic Party, and our democracy, depends on leaders who won’t flinch or look away. I’m proud to endorse this slate of bold candidates to represent us in Washington for years to come.

I’m saddened to learn of the passing of Ryne “Ryno” Sandberg. From MVP to the Hall of Fame, on the field and as a coach, he inspired generations of baseball players and Cubs fans. My heart is with his family and the Cubs as we mourn his loss.

This is what Republican power looks like in 2025: less health care, more ICE, and a bill written for billionaires by billionaires. We see it. And we’ll remember in 2026.

An authentic progressive, Muslim American wins in NYC, without parroting GOP fear-tactics. Now they’re trying to strip him of his citizenship. This victory terrifies the establishment more than any slogan ever could.

To the mothers that crossed the border for a better life, To the mothers taking an extra shift to put food on the table, To the mothers that raise us like their own, To the mothers that love us unconditionally, And to the mothers no longer with us.. Happy Mother’s Day!

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to @GrigsbyUmi, my former Policy Director, for her unwavering dedication and advocacy. Her inclusive leadership has transformed ideals of justice and opportunity into tangible realities, creating a lasting impact for marginalized communities.
As some of you know and after much reflection, I've made the difficult decision to step down as Chief of Policy in the Office of the Mayor at the end of this year. It has been an incredible honor to work alongside so many talented individuals, tackling complex challenges and driving historic initiatives like One Fair Wage, Paid Leave, expanding mental and behavioral health services and expanding support for gender-based violence. I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues both in and across the City and the Mayor for the opportunity to contribute to such important work. I look forward to seeing these initiatives continue to make a lasting impact. Thank you for the chance to serve Chicago and for this humbling proclamation. — Umi Grigsby

On this day we thank the veterans who have served in our military. We cannot forget the immigrants that have served in numerous battles and wars while yearning for the dream of citizenship. We will keep fighting for you with the same valiant spirit you fought for us! 🇺🇸
