The state of CT right now is exactly what you get when there is no leadership and nobody is looking out for anybody else.
Leading voices on here used to step up and show the community how to filter out projects that are only here to extract value but somewhere along the way they stopped and since then, we just have utter chaos.
Small creators wake up every single morning to a fresh wave of new projects (just like i woke up to seeing a project called MyNeigbourAlice) and with no trusted voices explaining why certain ones should be avoided they jump right in.
They spend their time and resources chasing what looks promising only to burn out and slowly lose interest in everything.
Take Kolohub for a start, they just launched an Ambassador program with no clarity as to who is getting rewarded, how many waves of the campaign their creators should expect. They just slammed $150,000 pool and nothing else.
Guess what, no big creator with motion will ask questions even when it is evident that they just want to farm these small creators that have become desperate.
Or I should I talk about River4fun that released a checker for their S4 campaign but never dropped a claim site but instead rolled out this dynamic reward structure the team described as rewards that would adjust in real time based on total community participation and individual contributions instead of fixed guaranteed payouts.
Or Galxe that keeps dropping campaigns with no clear end date at all. Then there is 3look that finished their first campaign and have now launched another one without paying the creators from round one. The list goes on and on
The thing is, the big creators with real reach and motion stay completely silent on all of this and that silence is precisely what is keeping CT in this burnt out and purely extractive state.
These creators are so focused on all these time wasting projects that they barely have the energy or resources to engage you with motion or use products cos they are burning it all on chasing all those.
In my opinion if the influencers, KOLs who actually have motion starts calling out projects for basic red flags like no launch date no pay date or launch pools that are just XP instead of real rewards the entire ecosystem would level up fast.
Small creators would waste less, get protected more and the space would attract the kind of talent that actually uses products by creators seeking to make crypto adoption and accessibility easier.
My two cents.
